Default Christmas comes early...

OK, hands up if you read this with news of the latest giveaway!

Right everyone. Hands down again now

Over the last few years, it's true, Christmas has started earlier. In 2005, a pub near me had decorations up in JULY - that I doubt will ever be beaten and I think they just forgot (too lazy) to take them down!

In 2006 though I recall it was September 6th
In 2007 it was September 3rd

This is when I have noticed in a shop, items you might buy for Christmas ... cards, decorations, wrapping paper, you know the sort of thing.

So lets see when Christmas starts around your way. Post here when you see anything Christmas related in any of the major supermarkets, where it is and what you saw.

I think the September 3rd record will be beaten, just, this year!

I drive past a restaurant called Sandal Farm every day on my way to work, they are advertising for Xmas lunch and have been for about 1 month. Not seen anything in the supermarkets yet though.

Apparently, Sainsburys Wigan have the shelves cleared and ready for tomorrow

What I really hate though is those people that give you a bloody countdown all the way to Christmas...

Was sent an invite for an Office Christmas Party today! An Office Christmas Party for the company I used to work for. I guess that's my first Christmas thing of the year.

I've seen Christmas cards on the shelves in Woolworths just after the August bank holiday before now.
