Is it a serious thread then, Mydog? It must be your first

Only I was waiting for the punchline

And as far as Peter Frampton goes, "show me the way" is a classic.

The sound he made with that hose pipe in his gob was unique.

Best live album is without doubt Rory Gallagher's Irish Tour. If I was not biased, though, it would be difficult to decide between this one and Rainbow's On Stage, Deep Purple's Made In Japan and the first live album of AC/DC (can't remember the name atm.

Wow some cracking choices in here!

For me the ultimate live album is Queen Live Killers.

Awesome.

I'll say it quietly cos its U2 but "Under A Blood Red Sky" had a huge impact on me in my adolescence.

Ultravox - Monument.... only 5 live tracks on the original issue but worth buying just for 'The Voice'.

I'm keen on Talking Heads 'Stop Making Sense' too.

Find myself agreeing with you Valiant with regard to U2. I am not a fan at all but that album played a central part in my growing up.Must be a being 39 thing

I've never been a huge fan of live albums to be honest unless they are a recording of a gig I've been at.

If I was to pick a favourite it would probably be either The Pixies at Brixton from the reunion tour in 2004 or The Skids Masquerade Maquerade which was from Hammersmith 1980.
