| dear I want to learn that how the betfair and other bookies create the odds on which the customers bet.i want to learn the whole procedure step by step. i have the basic knowledge of betting bcoz i operate a cricket book in india. here we get rates from betfair and other bookies. now i want to learn the procedure how odds are created and how can i give my own rates so that customer can bet. i want to learn to calculate the inning runs,best bowler,best batsman prices etc.(ie back and lay prices for all these and matc odds) |

| for starters, bring up the home page on betfair, click on help and follow the instructions. I'd advise that you understand the game that you are betting on first. Once you have done that, then you can begin to judge whether prices represent value to you or not. Pretty much the same rules on all sports (such as cricket) when creating a book (ie to offer prices that reflect your expectations of the game with a little taken off to increase profit) and if you're a bookie on cricket, then surely you would understand the principle of value and how to create a book? ![]()
