| Hello, I have a question, if any excel experts could help me out? I have a a spreadsheet which I use for bet records. In the profit column my formula is =IF(N5="W",(M5*J5-M5),IF(N5="WH",((M5*J5-M5)/2),IF(N5="LH",(-(M5/2)),IF(N5="V",(0),-M5)))) This basically accounts for all results (I bet a few asians) so WH = Won Half, W=Won, V= Void etc..... Anyway I wasnt to add a formula to take account of where I bet, so if it is at Betfair it takes 5% commission off the profit. At the moment I have added a new column with the formula: =IF(AND(C5="Betfair",P5>0.01),P5*0.95,P5) So it checks if I placed it at Betfair and whether it was a profit or loss (obviously dont take 5% off a loss) My question is do I need this column or can I do it all in one formula? Thanks, Dean |

| You should be able to do it in the one formula. Assuming Cell C5 is where you will be putting "Betfair" you could do the following formula: =IF(C5="Betfair",((IF(AND(C5="Betfair",P5>0.01),P5*0.95,P5))),IF(N5="W",(M5*J5-M5),IF(N5="WH",((M5*J5-M5)/2),IF(N5="LH",(-(M5/2)),IF(N5="V",(0),-M5))))) So basically its saying "If cell C5 equals "Betfair" then do the formula you created to see if its a Winning bet or a Losing bet, and if its a winning bet then to do 5% commision. Else if C5 does not equal "Betfair" then it will do your original formula. Hopefully that made sense? That keeps the formula all in one cell without having to create several cells ![]() |
