Default What Makes a Good Bookie?

Guys and gals,

I work for an ad agency and we've been recently been asked to pitch for an online bookie.

If you'd be so kind as to answer the following questions for me for a bit of market research.

Thanks in advance folks and good luck.

1. What was the thing that made you open your account?

2. Do you think that bonus' for new customers is unfair when you have had your account for years?

3. what is the most user friendly online bookie?

4. Have you ever closed an account...if so why?

Hi Billboard

Which bookie out of interest?

1. This depends on which bookie you are talking about. Usually I open a new account if a bookie is often best priced in the markets I am wanting to bet on. Good sign up bonuses help of course.

2. Maybe if I hadn't received a new customer bonus when I originally opened the account. If I had then thats fair enough.

3. It would be easier to tell you about some user unfriendly bookies but I find stanjames and ladbrokes pretty user friendly.

4. No

1: Interesting/Big Betting offers or/and good odds on something I want to bet.

2: Yes. they should use some of that money on keeping the customers they already have.

3: Expekt.com

4: Because of cut in betting limits(Hi Bet365), Poor customer service(like taking days to answer a simple question on e-mail (Hi Willhill), or if they started to have average odds on everything(never top odds on anything).

1. Best odds at the time plus special offers/bonuses

2. Does not bother me, although every bookie I opened an account with had a special offer at the time.

3. Too hard to say, I would not like to single one out. They all have their pros n cons.

4. Yes Bet and Win (bwin.com), would not let me put a £500 on world cup final back in 2002 which I found pretty awful for a bookmakers, they limited it to £260.
