Anyone here have any experience with them ? considering joining them but I would really appreciate any insight whether they are a reliable bookies or not.

You should be OK with them Uncoabis. Not the best bookie around by any means but they operate a lot of markets and I've not heard too many bad reports about them. Pretty quick to cut your limits mind you.

Are they anything to do with the guy who was recently arrested in the USA? It seems strange that the BBC should mention them if not.

Trading in Betonsports shares has been suspended. Rivals saw their stocks fall as the gravity of the charges emerged.
Partygaming shares closed down 17% and 888 Holdings dropped by 13%.
Meanwhile smaller company Sportingbet lost 35% of its share value. Betonsport's shares had plunged by 16.6% on Monday and were suspended before trading began on Tuesday

Sportingbet have nothing to do with the arrest of that guy as far as I know PUD. The BBC only mentioned them because their share price took a tumble upon news of the arrest. 888.com and Partygaming were also mentioned as being affected as well.

Sportingbet chairman held in US

The chairman of British gambling firm Sportingbet has been arrested in the US after arriving on a flight from the UK.
Officials said Peter Dicks, 64, had been detained under a warrant issued by state authorities in Louisiana in July accusing him of gambling by computer.
Mr Dicks is being held in New York, and faces a bail hearing on Friday.
His arrest follows the detention of Betonsports' chief David Carruthers, who was arrested on racketeering charges at Dallas airport in July.
The arrests are the latest in a string of US moves designed to discourage internet gambling. Sportingbet's shares were suspended on the London stock exchange after news of Mr Dicks arrest

and now I can't get into the Sportingodds site. May all be nothing but coincidence but they are the same company as Sportingbet and I'm getting my cash out of there as soon as I can.
