Default OddsChecker get preferential odds?

I fancy over 2.5 goals in tonights Arsenal v Spurs game - as soon as one goal goes in, the game will, IMO, open up completely.....

So I followed the PL link above to Oddschecker and looked at the "Over 2.5 goals" comparison on the game - best odds appeared to be 2.06 at Ladbrokes, so I logged in to laddies and the quote was only 1.85 I then clicked on the link at OddsChecker and it took me direct to a laddies betting slip and advised me that the odds had been changed to 2.02 instead of 2.06 ..... I'm as certain as I can be that the markets were identical and there is no difference ......

So my question - do the bookies sometimes (often?) offer better odds if you go through an odds comparison site? (would make sense, you know that they are price consious consumers, so you need to compete on price......)

Actually - just seen the difference, and they are different markets

One is:

Arsenal vs Tottenham
GOAL LINETOTAL GOALS IN THE GAME
2.52.02 Over - Under 1.82
Will there be more goals or fewer goals than the Goal Line?

If the total number of goals is identical to the Goal Line then bet stakes are refunded.
(e.g. If the Goal Line is 2.0 and the game finishes 1-1 all stakes are refunded.)

Should there be a split Goal Line (e.g. 2.0/2.5 or 2.5/3.0) then your bet is split between the two Lines.
(e.g. If the Goal Line is 2.5/3.0 then half your bet is on a Goal Line of 2.5 and the other half is on a Goal Line of 3.0. In this example, if you bet 'over' and the game finished 2-1 half of your bet would win and half of your bet would be refunded.)

The other is

Arsenal vs Tottenham

Cant quite get my head around the difference yet though

Often the same bookmaker will offer different odds for a normal win bet and
an Asian handicap -0.5 bet, even though you're betting for exactly the same
result. But I've never noticed this before for an over/under bet.

Ah! Is it possible the first market was for 90 minutes and the second market
included extra time?

GaF - in short no is the answer.

The odds comparison sites all rely on the bookies to have things correct, then their bots go in and grab the info, but often the bookies make errors inputting data, but mostly they correct it quickly.

GaF,

I've noticed on Oddschecker that occasionnally different markets get included in the comparison. They appear to have particular difficulty with Coral for 80 Minute Rugby betting, they often have the first team to score a try rather then th winner quoted which is usually completely different price. I've noticed it on a few other markets, so it's always best to check that you've the right bet when you click thru via oddschecker, especially if the odds are vastly different
