Right seriously - we have gotta send Ladbrokes an award.

Tonight I was thinking of betting on Indiana at match odds of 1/7 in Basketball. I was going to bet about 1400 and then lay it off in Betfair taking a small profit, no matter what happens. Can anyone guess the maximum bet in Ladbrokes on a 1/7 shot in the NBA.

Maximum Bet - 149 Euro / £100 . Are these guys for real?

Last night they were +2.5 5/6 on a baseball game when everyone else was +1.5!!!

Absolutely killing them at the moment. Why don't they pay for decent staff to take decent bets and then they might make some money at these sports. It's not like they can't afford decent staff!!!

Ladbrokes are a joke outfit ever see their "incentives" ?things like " if Elvis presley score the 5th goal for wolves against Arsenal you get a 5% refund on scorecast bets",some garbage like that!!

Ladbrokes have NO SERIOUS INTEREST in their betting am from a business point of view. Its just a badly managed cash cow that they use to fund acquisitions such as the Hilton Chain of hotels, casinos and their ill fated acquisition of a massive DIY chain of stores in the early 90s whose name escapes me.

They are a joke. I haven't had a bet with them for around 2 years. Poor staff, worse customer service. They're running on their name and size alone.

I'd agree with that CJ. I had my first bet with them t'ther day when they went Evens that Finland qualify for the Eurovision final and it was too good to miss.

It doesn't matter if I go to a shop or on the phones the staff don't have a clue, and I'm not a fan of the website although I must say its got better than it was. Last bet I tried to place in their shops was a double on the golf, I forget the players but it was one for the US tour and one for the European event that week. The girl told me I coudn't have a double as they were in the same tournament, even though I'd marked both events on the slip. She rang someone else when I told here she was talking crap and they confirmed I couldn't have the bet. They also told me there was only 1 event that week and when I showed here the RP she still wouldn't take the bet. Unbelievable.

Ladbrokes shops aint better, still use it though as its the nearest shop to me, absolute muppets working there. For example I was on their site yesterday to confirm what the handicap in the Tyrone-Derry GAA game, it was 4.5 points...
