I'll keep records until the flat season ends and see where it stands then.

Also got the win and place records of every favourite that has run this season.

Percentage of jollies placed for all races is 60.41%

249/413
I don't count races of less than 5 runners (there have been 17)

Handicaps - 126.50/235 - 53.00%

Maidens - 68.50/100 - 68.50%

Listed - 9.50/13 - 73.08%

Claimers and Sellers - 17.50/28- 62.50%

Group - 10/14 - 71.43%

Non-handicap stakes - 17.50/23 - 73.50%

Also got LWR and LLR for all races, win or place.

I like numbers, get bored easily, and have to find something to do all day

Excelllent stuff Cas. I really should start to keep figures but seeing as you do alll the work I'll just sit back and be a degenerate gambler.

I'm a big believer in taking on the shorties not blindly of course but it seems to pay off for me.

I have a question with regards to laying. Can you decide the maximum amount the person taking your odds can win. So for example - if i had 50 quid in my account, can i risk only losing half of it ?

If you don't know the answer to that, then you haven't got a Betfair account, which makes it a bit difficult to explain.

You can limit what you could lose on a lay, exactly the same as you can limit what you could lose on a back.

If your bank is £200 and you want to lay a 2/1 shot for half of your bank, you simply enter the odds of 3, and enter a stake of £50.

If the horse is above 2/1 and you don't want to lay higher, tick the 'keep' box on the screen. When the race goes off the lay will not cancel, and if it hits 2/1, you could lay it.

Be aware that money matched is done so on the order it's put in the system. If there are 5,000 people who got their lay in before you, if and when the horse hits 2/1, they will be matched before you.
