Hi, just wondering if anyone has had any bad experiences with globalsportsbet.com.au, as I was about to open an account with to take advantage of some of their odds? Thanks in advance.

Yeah, I've had an account for years but have only had a small number bets with them. They're obviously the same bookmaker as Sports Acumen - odds and markets have been about identical last year.

They have 'Mad Fridays' where they offer 1.95 lines on AFL and probably on NRL also? Usually kicks in from about 10:00pm Thursday. Another strong point is they now seem to be a local leader in offering In-Plays, although I had a bad experience on the A-League soccer where the team I was backing was only just moving the ball out of defence and the operator kept me holding - making out he could be waiting for a screen or something. I should have given him the big "well do you want the bet or don't you, mate?!!! Of course they scored from that move forward.

I can recommend Global Sportsbet mate. As Ashtee said, they are run by the same mob as Sports Acumen who are also becoming a very popular bookie in Australia. Their $1.95 lines during the footy season is a big reason why they are so popular and they are also one of the only bookies in Australia who offer spread betting.
