Are Exchanges a must?

Are Exchanges a must or are a dozen different Bookmakers accounts as good as?
I only ever back singles on the footie so come the end of the season do you think i would notice any difference?

In my experience for outsiders exchanges are a must, but for odds on selections the best prices are often available at the bookies.

Recommend you open a betfair account though either way. I usually put in offers some way above the best price available at bookies. If it gets matched its all good and if it doesn't you can take the best price available at the bookies.

Also I used to do quite a lot of 1X and 2X betting. The effective price you get by laying say the home team at an exchange is mostly better than the combined price of backing the draw and the away team at a bookie

I Will, i guess i haven't yet because i'm still not sure how to use them (still struggling to cope with decimal odds rather than fractional ), but from reading on here seems like i ought to be using them.
