| From what I can make out Canbet have a great offer going on. Go to canbet.co.uk/CIBFRM51.asp...&WAF=30000 and it seems if you deposit £250 oyu get a £50 sign up bonus (20%) as well as a free £20 bet. Then i think you can withdraw your £250 staright away and play away with their money T & C's Sign Up Bonus When you register and place the minimum deposit you are entitled to receive a sign up bonus calculated as a percentage of the deposit placed. As at 1st AUGUST 2003 the applicable percentage is 20%. This is subject to change at any time when notified to clients via the Canbet website. The maximum amount of bonus you can receive is limited to the following:- As at 1st August 2003, the maximum cash sum you can receive as a bonus is limited to: £50 Pounds Sterling $100 US Dollars $100 Euros $100 Canadian Dollars $100 Australian Dollars The maximum bonus amount is subject to change at any time when notified to clients via the Canbet website. The bonus percentage and the maximum bonus amount applies only to your initial deposit with Canbet. Second and subsequent deposits do not qualify for a bonus under this scheme. You can withdraw your deposit and any winnings at any time but the cash equivalent of the bonus can only be withdrawn when the total value of your bets placed equals five times the combined total of your initial deposit and the bonus earned. Free Bet When you sign up and deposit at least the minimum deposit you are entitled to a free bet equal to: £20 Pounds Sterling $30 US Dollars $30 Euros $50 Canadian Dollars $50 Australian Dollars Currently, you have a choice of free bets:-. - The winner of UK FA Premiership Title - The winner of the 2004 Superbowl You must place this bet by following the free bets link at the bottom of the Betting/Odds Menu. This amount cannot be withdrawn in cash but must be bet on any event that you choose. You are able to withdraw your returns on this bet. The choice of free bets may change at any time. | Nice of you to bring it to everyones attention bcrazy and its one I am looking at. Off course if anyone does want to open an account with them then it would be a VERY good idea to open it through the link in Odds post in the Bookmakers Sign Up Forum because doing it that way would benefit the Punters Lounge by helping pay some of the running costs. I am sure bcrazy would also like to recommend that option too, would't you mate ![]() |

Bcrazy has, as he usually does, copied the affiliate link into his post. Thanks again for that. Remember that before you can withdraw you need to email them proof of identity. They accept various documents and you sort that out when you call them. If you don't have a scanner, fax will do. I can't understand why they need this though as UK bookmakers do no and they say they are UK regulated. Still it's easy enough and worth it to get the £50 to play with.

They offer the best odds going for soccer (bet to 103% on tv games and about 106% for most others) and US sports are even better than 10/11 which not all UK books even offer. They also have massive limits. Their site says you can get $10k on an NFL game. That's impressive. Certainly a book i will check out. Tennis prices seem really competitive as well. The fact they are an aussie book makes them really secure as well. Free £50 for nothing ain't bad. Can't ever imagine UK books offering that. ![]()

Australian bookmakers get a good reputation due to the tight regulations they operate under. They are generally regarded as very safe. I have had my withdrawal processed no problem (after providing evidence of identity via email) and they are hoping to be able to accept Switch cards within the next couple of weeks which should make withdrawals more convenient. If you are opening an account please support the PL and use the link above or in the Bookie's offers forum. Thanks.

I agree with Odds. Oz bookies are very tightly regulated across there and clients money is all ring fenced in case of any mishaps. This lot are actually traded on the Oz Stock Exchange so they will obviously come under closer scrutiny due to having to file accounts etc. I opened an account yesterday and did the £250 deposit "thing". Withdrew the money yesterday afternoon (not back in my bank account yet but I would imagine it will take a couple of working days) and left with the £50. Just to emphasise odds with them. Last night Hills had Hibs at 1.10, Canbet at 1.20 - Hibs won 9-0. Yesterday Canbet had Dunfermline at 1.17, Premierbet go 1.10, Scandic seem best at 1.15 on Betbrain. Today Canbet have Dunfermline at 1.20 Also their odds on this Fridays Arsenal - Newcastle are 103%. I am all for more big Oz bookies coming across here and shaking up the prices a bit. We have a good set of bookies in the UK but competition like this, especially in prices can only benefit the punters. As Odds said, anyone opening an account will benefit the PL but at these prices they will also benefit themselves by having an account with them.

Thanks for that. I already have an account with Centrebet, who operate on the same lines. The only thing that really put me off Canbt before was that they don't seem to offer a lot of market. For example on football, HT/FT, correct scores and so on. I will be opening an account though, as like you said, their odds are often the best out there. And of course, I shall use the PL link. Thanks for all that though, just wanted to make 100% sure they were good :-)

Nice to know that a company can bet to betfair like margins and you don't have to pay any commission and can get a large bet on without being knocked back. See they are Arsenal 1.63 tomorrow when the best price you can get on Betfair is 1.57!! . Definitely going to have a big piece of that and lock in a profit on betfair by laying it at 1.58. These guys wanting 1.58 Arsenal should wise up to this company and dump the 5%!!!!Might dump the betfair account now if the prices contuine like this. Hate paying that 5% deduction>:

That happened to me once. The problem happened because you must have clicked on parlays (USA speak for multiple bets) on the left hand site under soccer instead of the actual division itself and therefore you have to place at least two selections. Don't think there is a problem if you try again. I was tempted with their 11/10 Luton last night but didn't play in the end. Just backed England with them having seen 9/4 advertised in the racing post for the Turkey game. Logged on to their site and they were 12/5!!!! 9/4 was better than anywhere else, 12/5 just too good to turn down!! Hope they bet like this on the Rugby World Cup as they are Aussies they must bet on the Rugby
