boylesport account.susp. for sec.checks:the usual reason to don't pay customers?

hi to everyone,
boylesport just suspended my account coming out with the usual story:security reasons,and according to some forum most of the times means "we're looking to find an excuse to confiscate your funds..."...
some questions:
how long they can keep my account frozen for by law?
one day,one week,six months?
how can i close my account with them?do i only need to send a simple letter(recorder delivery..)asking that?
i've got a simple account history,one month old,almost 10 sgl and few multiples...positive balance.
why do bookmakers run their "security checks" only on winning customers?

Strange mate, i have used boylesports for a while and am well up with them but never had a problem with security checks.

Dunno myself but might having something to do with having a ".co.uk" e-mail addy and a log in I.P that is listed as being French.

Assuming that you dont really money launder then this could lead to difficulty for you. They are probably just safeguarding in case somebody has "Hi-jacked" your account Fair play to them!

Yeah mate,

You say you are in London yet your I.P address says you are in PARIS

You probably have an IP router somewhere.

This can cause security problems sometimes. And all logs in are recorded somewhere. Perhaps thats why ?

I'll be honest,

I have a winning sports account with Boyles and have never had problems. I was even given free bets after opening the account and placing a few bets - I didnt even know I was entitled to them.

I dont think its because you are winning - More to do with your account being flagged for some reason.

If it was the other way around and they allowed someone to access your account from outside - You'ld be pissed off as well. So its a no win situation for them sometimes!

I just feel people should not be so fast to critise them for during their duties. After all it is in their T & C's to request I.D

i've offered my id and statements as well..it wasn't that problem,
i'm not criticising..i'm asking around here if anyone has got some experience to similar situations,suddenly after my withdraw request here we go with security check...
yes i had free bets as well,offers is still going on in my account...honestly people talks about them in positive way...

Suppose there are 2 sides. Ive never had a single complaint over here with them but i do know that a few "uk customers" have had problems. Usually they get sorted out fast if they are above board so Im sure you have nothing to worry about.

Just on a sidenote as I have picked up on something there in what you said.

Make sure that your card details are correct. Any mis-spelling, wrong address or not having the name "As it is on the card" can result in payout being refused too

Also, there is a safety "Temporary deposit /withdrawal" limit of $500 until I.D's are confirmed..

Perhaps that could be it ??

$500 isnt much if you have a STERLING account

some updates:just spoken to some sec dpt member(because i decided to contact them,not because i've beel called)..after my winning streak(some loser bet as well) they suspect of late bets,because for bookies people can't be lucky..so they'll go thru every sgl winning bet to prove that..to try to prove that...
the usual story basically:they keep match markets open until they want,so if you poor unlucky customer place a bet on that time,and your bet is losing,i'm sorry...bookmaker had an advantage taking your already losing bet,and you'll never find out...who's gonna complaint after a losing bet???
bye bye money...
if you are investigated of late bets of course they will grab anything they can to void your bet,saying software error,conneciton problem,your bet should have not gone thru and so on...
on top of that investigation could take ages as i've been told..
i mean,what do they need to investigate?do they rely on their software and their system to take bets or not?suddenly when there is a lucky customer "software had a problem,unfortunately markets kept open by mistake and so on..."...
still remember what i read on ibas website sometime ago:
late bet issue is like to check-in for a flight:
they will take you as long as you're on time with scheduled flight,if you're late sorry take next airplane,but if you're already in we won't kick you out of the airplane...
but i saw even worst cases:bokies taking live bets and keeping bets on pending for 2 minutes,3 minutes..."we see how to turn the bet according what happens next..."...isn't canbet?
or taking match markets like throw-in and voiding every winning one claiming in some broadcasting delay,but not mentioning at all all the business they made keeping the losers selection as well..isn't ladbrokes?
anyway...
i just wish bookmakers should honour their odds and their given receipt,because customers maybe had another bet in some arb,and voiding the winning one is cause of bigger loss...
because if i bet for "no 1st goal" at the beginning of the match and taking my risks,when odds for team A and B are good enough to get some profit whatever happens,i wouldn't like to see my bet voided for team A who's just scored,making me lose my stake for no1st goal and for team B...
just think about that... ;-)
