Anyone got any experiences of Betdaq good or bad. I've been around their site and it looks easier to use than Betfair but the liquidity seems very poor. Last night about 2 hours before the kickoff in West Ham - Cardiff less than 5,000 Euros had been matched vs about 35 times that on Betfiar. Their method of showing matched bets is a bit confuseing as well.

I have considered joining Betdaq as well, only after a lot of investigation into the site, I can't help but notice the state of the liquidity and the poor prices that are being traded, in comparison to Betfair. Normally the prices seem to be about 3 %- 4 % worse than betfair. As a person who constantly bets with one thing in mind, that is VALUE, I just am not interested in betting with a company where Value seems dificult to find. I imagine that any exchange out there will find it completely impossible to beat betfair, unless they organise an extraordinary marketing scheme, and I have no idea what scheme could possible bring me away from Betfair. I think that for a person who is making a nice profit, a 1% difference in Commission becomes nearly irrelevent. Sure I would like a lower comission rate in betfair, but the pros really outweigh the cons in regard to Betfair. I make about 50% of my bets there in all. I think that Betdaq might become more popular as more and more people discover the benifits of betting with Exchanges. I think that the bookies will have to introduce their own exchanges in the future, if they want to survive on the net.

On a similar note, could anyone share experiences on either sporting options or betsson exchanges (especially any irish users of these). Basically due to a net access problem (a blocking program installed at my workplace), the big 2 of bf and betdaq are off-limits...whereas access to the other 2 is currently possible... I am determined to try my hand at exchanges so it'll have to be one of the above. From checking them myself 'sporting options' seems the better as regards prices, commisson and liquidity....but any other opinions please..........

mpearce, If it's simply the case that the nazis at your work block anything with bet in the title then why not take a trip down memory lane to flutter.com if that doesn't work type in the following 212.62.21.231/ Both should take you to betfair.

I had the same trouble with betfair at work but could access betdaq and would not go back. I am on 2% comm there, 4% was lowest i got at betfair, and love the asian handicap markets that they do. Tried sporting options but could never get a bet matched there. Maybe just unlucky. Never backed a winner with hills either...

But dont you find Betdaq`s screen very slow? When I want to bet the choice comes up instantly with Betfair but BDaq takes a few seconds. No good for in running on the horses for example. Also find the sliding bars to see all of the prices far too annoying. Markets are quiet there too, only thing in its favour is the commission for me.

Unfortunately it's a 'websense' blocker that blocks anywhere classified as Gambling - of which sporting options and betsson aren't blocked - thankfully! - so it'll have to be one of these two.... So if anyone has any experience of these would appreciate any views.... Ta for the response anyhow....

Have used both, and both have their good and bads... Don't like the Sporting interface very much, especially as it takes ages loading on my puny dial up. But I find it does have pretty good liquidity, and does take sterling. I find the Betsson interface easiest to use, and their 'coupon' system is much better that BF's. However, they don't do racing, and only take Euro's. So, depends what you're after really. Racing & sterling = Sporting Football & Euro's = Betsson. I also do a lot of gambling from work, but don't have access blocked to any bookie, exchange or spread site. My company does allow 'limited personal use of the internet as long as it doesn't offend'. Can gambling cause offence??

Nothing comes close to Betfair at the moment, been looking around for a while now. Tried Sporting Optins, wern't bad reasonable money being traded. I like their qiuck fire section just have to press 1 button and your bet is on, only thing is not enough people 2 get good in running bets, especialy in 6-7f races, unlike Betfair! Does anybody know of any quick fire sections on Betfair (or tools).
