This has started becoming less and less about a "hard luck" story but rather about a flawed system The good news however, is that some analysis shows, I think, where the system could be improved (and it has to do with the chosen "safety factor"). I'll keep monitoring it's progress while at the same time I'll look into improving it.

If anyone has any suggestions, please do let me know, since I am not sure if anyone is actually finding this thread of any (even remote) interest!!
