But your system - instinctively it sounds plausible and seems to make sense

When it comes to sequences, I think people often misunderstand it - and apply it to random events such as the turn of a card or the spin of a roulette wheel - totally random events, with no "memory" of previous random events - what you are looking at is different - it's all based on confidence, and a direct "memory" of previous results
