Statto ratings - Paper trail - The Punters Lounge

Ok, seems im gonna have more time on my hands than i would like at the moment so im gonna have a little play about with the trend ratings on statto. Same kind of ratings as the ones in the RPO but these are available online so it should be easier to check for picks.

What i will do is use a formula taken from 3 figures to compute a total rating for each team, the ratings are open-ended because of the large numbers involved. I Will start by using a rating difference of 100 (I make 100 around about a goal superior between the teams) to make a selection since this seems to work well in the last few weeks that ive watched it. The formula goes....

Current rating + Last 10 games rating + (trend rating * 2)

The plan is to find teams that are playing well and on the up, but might well be the underdog because of league position. I saw something similar used on a forum with the RPO ratings a few years back but it was used in a different kind of way. I will only start by using a few leagues to see how well it goes and how many picks it throws up. ALL picks must be better than even money to weed out the obvious games like Man Utd @ home to Derby at 1.67 etc etc. I Will start by using the following leagues...

*English Premier League
*Spanish Primera Liga
*Italian Serie A
*German Bundesliga
*French Ligue 1
*Portuguese SuperLiga
*Holland Eredivise

I have no idea how this will perform so im not laying down my hard earned on it just yet. 200pt starting bank and a 5pt level stake on each selection, i have no idea how many picks this will throw up or how it will go but we'll soon find out
