Several selections for the weekend with the bookies plus a few possibles with Betfair.

First actual bet is Bristol - £34.00 @ 1.57 with Bet 365 -

Bristol have a good record at home as opposed to Newcastle's poor away form. Indeed, the Falcons have won only once in their last 15 away games and have also not managed a win in Bristol since 1997.

Next selection is Wasps - £46.00 @ 1.53 with SkyBet -

Wasps have had an awful start to the season, recording only a draw in their last 4 games. The current Heineken Cup champions have a good home record however, and will be looking to kick start their campaign against a London Irish side which are also struggling. Indeed, the exiles are 1 from 4 for the season and have a poor away record.

The last selection is Ospreys - £64.00 @ 1.58 with Betfair -

The big guns are back for the Ospreys as they look to mount their challenge to retain their title of the Magners League. They have a great record at home, losing only 4 times at the Liberty Stadium in the ML since 2004/05. Munster also bring back a few of their internationals to try and bounce back from last week's shock home loss to the Blues. They have a good away record in the ML but have yet to record an away win against the Ospreys. Based on the ELO ratings, the Ospreys should win by around 5 points, whilst the average handicap mark on them is -7.0 points at 1.90.

No other bets via the bookies as no value prices available. Two potential selections via Betfair. As such, I've requested the following amounts/prices:

Bath - £35.00 @ 1.54
Gloucester - £42.00 @ 1.28

Well, this is the big one for both teams. South Afria have been one of the favourites to lift the RWC cup for many, many months whereas England have come from nowhere to reach the final. Recent results between the two sides favour the Boks, who have won the last 4 games played by 11, 48, 33 and 36 points respectively. Based on the IRB ratings, South Africa (89.32) should beat England (87.18) at a neutral venue by around 4 points. Sporting Index have the Boks supremacy over the English pitched at 8-10, whilst the average handicap mark on South Africa is -8.0 points at 1.90. If England can keep it close then they stand a chance of winning via the boot of Wilkinson. If the Boks manage to put a few points on the board however, then I just cannot see England having the game plan necessary to pull back a big lead.
