Default 'NH' & 'Flat' race categories

I've used 'Masseys' data and identified 2 'systems' that have each given even & consistent profits over the past 5 years, but the 2 'systems' are based on different race categories as defined by 'Massey' i.e. National Hunt & Flat.

I want to use the daily race cards that are freely available on RacingPost, BUT how do I identify, from the information on RacingPosts race cards (see example below), which is a 'National Hunt' and which is a 'Flat' race.

LINGFIELD (A.W)
01 March 2007
STANDARD (A cloudy start with some light rain, but soon becoming mostly dry with sunny spells developing)

1:30 Go Pontin's Handicap (Div I) (Class 4) (4yo+,0-85) Winner £4,210.05 1m4f STAND

I am sure someone with more knowledge will tell you, I know zip about horseracing.

But I am assuming the (A.W) means ALL WEATHER and as such will be flat?

I believe so Thunderfoot. Normally the NH races are described in the race name. NH races can also be flat races as described in: http://www.expertbettingadvice.co.uk...cingguide.html

I hope this helps cuz I'm not close of being a specialist in horse racing. Only started a couple of months ago.

GL with your systems
