Help Needed re: New Manager Phenomenon - The Punters Lounge

Hello Gents

Some time ago there was a bit of a debate going on about the effect of new managers on Performance. Someone I think it was Crowie ( but not sure ) said he had read a book which had an article on this subject.

From what I can remember he completely refuted that their was any empirical evidence to support the 'New Manager Phenomenon'.

Can anyone tell me what the book is and where I can get it and also give me a potted version of what his findings were re this subject.

I think it was Geoff Harvey's book which luck would have it is at work. If no-one else confirms or otherwise I will get back to you to-morrow.

Most of the newer ideas are based on a research paper from,I think last year.

Stick "sack soccer manager pdf " in Google & it's the first result.
