I know a Guy affectionately known as "Fat Carl" who was occasionally in the bookies. Then the roulette machines came in and over time he became hooked sticking £20 on 1 number and in the end it cost him over £5,000 and he doesn't go in the bookies at all now.

Growing up I used love playing the bandits but I haven't put a penny in them for years and the thought of playing computerised roulette has never entered my mind ever.

As long as you keep it to a bit of fun then you'll be fine - I dont know what you earn etc. but if £20 is just a bit of pocket money to you that you dont mind losing and it gives you some enjoyment, then go for it. Its just the way you were talking earlier made it sound as if you were in it to make money, which I would strongly advise against!!

Its just some friendly advice mate - up to you if you take it

Wouldn't touch them in a million years. For a start they are bad value. You get 5 plays for £1 on the computer roulette compared to 3 plays for a £1 stake on the puggies. Designed for mugs IMO.

Then I guess that makes you a mug...

Your earlier post made me laugh, about leaving a machine for 2 weeks after it had paid you out £300. You clearly do not have a clue how they work. For a start, they are random number generators, so, in theory - you could win with every bet you place.

Secondly, if you think a machine will stop paying out for 2 weeks because you took £300 out of it then you are wrong. In the bookies I used to work in someone taking out £300 was nowt mate. Try a couple of grand over the course of a day.

Avoid them like the plague, unless you actually have money to burn.

Quality comment

If they aren't random, they are fixed against you.

No they dont. Total bollocks. If they work in a pattern then why do you ever stop playing them? Surely, if it is a pattern then you can just keep on winning.

No, he didnt have a crowbar. People can print a receipt, collect and then go play again you know...

Did I call you a mug? Don't think so...

If you havn't lost any money yet, then trust me - you will.

I guess you will just have to learn the hard way.

But, I guess you know best, right?

Of course its fun when you are winning but that feeling does not last for too long....

It you are winning now then its better to leave it with a profit because you WILL get caught...
