Default Firefox Difficulty

OK Please tell me if I'm wrong, but does clicking on affiliated link earn a lttle money for punterslounge, because I assumed it does?

The reason I ask is I try to click on these links to say thank you to the forum owner(Paul Ross?), but if I'm running Firefox rather than IE the links don't work.

Is it my problem, yours, or a problem with Firefox?

I've tried clicking on a few of the links in Firefox and they worked for me.

Hi Valiant,

Clicking on them doesn't earn PL anything, but if you regsiter it does.

Not sure what the problem is, nobody else has reported it - what does it do when you click it?

Well I either 'open in new tab' or 'window'. You get the spinning circle in the top RH corner of the browser and then it hangs big time. I give it time to load the page until I get frustrated. Go over to IE, follow the same link 'in new window' and it works.

I'm on an average broadband connection, with a 3y.o. PC which gets regular maintenance.

I run IE and Firefox (but rarely at the same time), have got pop-up blockers, and Norton Antivirus firewall.

Its not the worst problem in the world, and it seems as though it must be a problem my end, but I was browsing the bookies and remembered to ask about it.
Thanks

I've just tested this as well and no problem - in either a new tab or a new window....

Does it work if you copy and paste the link directly into a new firefox session? e.g. http://banner.goldenpalace.com/cgi-b...ofile=plpoker2

Just a thought: Have you downloaded updates to Firefox? When I first installed
Firefox I had occasional problems with some sites, but every time I update it
these seem to get fewer. I'm now using Firefox 1.0.6 for Windows.

Good thought - what version are you on Valiant?

Having said that - I've just checked and only have 1.02 (which worked) - time for an update I think.....

Not Norton Firewall-ZoneAlarm

slapdash as I'm typing this I've got a window trying to connect me to Bet365-progress bar (bottom RH corner) gets 2/3rds along then stops. I've installed the current updates for Firefox last night (I think).

Will try copy and paste next I think.

Thanks again

Rather than start a new thread (and I am having PC probems at the moment too), but since the update to PL when I on my machine or Mrs V on the 2nd PC have tried to open random pages we have encountered the following error;

You don't have permission to access /forum/showthread.php on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Apache/1.3.33 Server at www.punterslounge.com Port 80

I thought it was the PC, but Mrs V has had the same problems. Doesn't matter which thread either-I have just had it as I tried to look on Bookies and Exchanges, but also encountered the problem when accessing GC. It is intermittent as well.

Not a serious problem, but thought you ought to be made aware.
