Betfair Banner Ad - The Punters Lounge

The Betfair banner ad (if that's the correct term?) at the top of the main forum pages is showing 'page not found'. Only noticed because my PC clicks every time it tries to refresh it - thought it was a spam pop up trying to get through at first!

Sorry Avon... seems okay with my machine.

Although I do recall having problems like that in the past. Or maybe not... I'm getting on y'know.

Oh, that's odd then. I just assumed the link page had changed address and the ad had become out of date. Must be something at my end not finding it. Not to worry - didn't want to find it anyway!

i brought this up SIX months ago

It still does not work for me in FIREFOX - works in IE alright

Think admin here told me to "stop drinking so much"

Yeah but that had fook all to do with this banner working!

That was just general advice.

(and I'm still using Firefox, and the links fine...)

Avon, could it be your pop-up blocker?

I'd never heard of Firefox (other than a Clint Eastwood film I think) before today and now this is the 3rd thread I've seen it referred to in!

It could be the pop up blocker. The ad problem has only just started, and in the last few days when I try to open a PM it now tries to block it, which I don't think it did previously. PC did a virus update the other day so it might have changed something. I'll check if the same is happening on the upstairs PC out of interest, but obviously it's not a problem at 'your' end so that's fine. As long as the link is working (for everyone else!) that's OK.

Mate if you can't open a PM in a new window its looking likely thats the problem.

I don't know whether this will work, but pressing CTRL whilst clicking on a banner or opening a PM should temporarily disable the pop-up blocker.
