Lol not a chance with the odds!! Not on my attacking drip, for example bet 77 where I was taking 38/1, this was far more likely (odds-wise) to happen than 0-3, and 3-3, and ditto with the chelsea match etc.

What I do is I write down a list of scores ranging from 3-0 to 0-3 depending on how unlikely I feel the score will finish. I usually do this using my knowledge of the teams and the leagues, lol although I can only do this for the SPL, English Premier, Conference (watch it on Setanta, thats why theres so much of them!! ), and some Italian games.
The other games, like the ones in Japan, where I clearly know nothing of the sides other than the League Positions (I use flashscore.co.uk for scores, and they also show many league tables) I look at the h2h meetings of the 2 sides, like what you said, and generally pick an unlikely few.

Then when I have this list, for example in the chelsea newcastle match, I might have newcastle v chelsea, 3-0, 3-1, 3-2, 3-3.
I then go onto Betfair and try and match the score with whichever one has the best odds.

Obviously the more I know the teams, and am comfortable with the h2h meetings, I can be a bit more daring.

I NEVER only use the odds as a seperator of how unlikely/likely something is to happen, for the reasons I mentioned in Mr A's 200 Winners thread (The 200 Winners thread) post #57.
I believe those that rely soley on the odds-given by others should not gamble on sport, since "thats for people with no thought or knowledge of sport who just blindingly follow the odds and not the sport itself", as Mr A so nicely put it himself

don't be so hash on yourself HLV. I think he was just meaning generally.

At the end of the day, I would never feel comfortable putting my money on something which the bookies rate at 1/40, if I felt that there was a chance it could happen.

A good example is in an old scottish cup final match, a few years back, between Hibs and Livingston.
Now all the semi finals, and quarter finals were on terestrial TV. And it just so happened that Hibs had put out both Celtic AND Rangers both on penalties, in the semi's and quarters.
Because of this, the bookies (especially the english based willhill etc) had obviously made Hibs heavy favourites for the match. But this was the season that (if I remember properly), Livi were currently, 4th or so (pretty high anyway) in the league, and had David Fernandez scoring goals all-over the joint (before his stupid move to Celtic), and the legendary manager that is David Hay.
I just knew that there and then odds meant nothing,I felt Livi shoulda been favourite (they were just above Hibs in the league, and were playing really good football).
Needless to say Livi won the match, and it was regarded as a relative "upset"
