Is there any system for this or are you just simply picking the horses and seeing if you can make a profit?

Hi WHUPUNTER,
I dont really have a system mate.I have only been betting since the Grandnational this year.I dont bet alot on the horses,it mainly just a hobby or fun.
I wouldnt study forms/jockeys ect takes up a great deal of time. I treat a horse like an athlete,they run well for a bit and then have an off day.Dont think jockeys have much to do with it either.If a horse dont want to run it wont and the jockey cant do anything about it.I look a the horse and how it has done on its last race/races and then use that as my guide, thats it.
I bet on all the horses i put on here and more. I do every race,every course,everyday.
Keep an eye on this thread and see how i do. Got 2 out of 3 wins today. see my other thead on here.

Ok mate, just a couple of observations:

1. We dont need you to start a new thread every dy with your selections, just start the 1 thread and keep them all in there. It also helps if you keep a P/L so anyone can see how you are doing.

2. If you back in every race, and post all your bets up, how did you get 2 out of 3? I dont understand.

Anyway, I am sure you will soon find there is a lot more to horses than what you think. Just take a look in the ATR section and look at some of the work that goes into picking their selections. Its a lot more than a quick glance at form figures.

Anyway, not going to stop you, but expect you may find this out very quickly. It is near impossible to back in every race and make a profit. trust me, I have been there and done that. You can get lucky for a while but when you are backing in every race, you have a very slim chance of being successful.

To answer your points.
I was told about posting threads that is why this one is listed as My daily bets/tips on horses. I can keep it all here. I will say ho many bets were placed and if it won or lost on here from now on.
I do back every race every day if the odds suit me. either E/w or win only. I never said i make a profit everyday, if i did i would be rich.
My max bets are 20p for e/w or 10p to win. I started after the Gnational with £10.00 and i am currently at £9.14. But thats betting every day on at least 5 tracks. No lie mate, i have the account details to prove it.
Take today, i bet on FOLKESTONE/HEREFORD/REDCAR (All races) Placed 70 bets. I got 11 1st place 13 2nd places 10 3rd places. which is a 48% strike rate for a place 1-2-3. Not bad.(loss today £0.94)
Tomorrow(2-5-08) i am doing Lingfield/Mussleburgh/southwell/fontwell. 44 bets total.Bank @ £9.14.
Will post results of the ones above after races. In BBOTD i have said 4.10 lingfield & Mr Aviator to win.

Dont worry, I believe you. Just dont feel its the way forward. Its a good way to start learning but it needs more work than you are putting in if you want to make it pay

Thats fair enough, a 48% strike rate is good, but you shouldnt be making a loss when you have that kind of s/r

I done about 60+ bets today on all of the races today.it will take me ages to trawl through all of the betting slips to get what i won or lost on.
My bank is at £14.52 so i made a decent profit today (72% on my bank). Thats two days running now.

Im doing small bets so i can make my own system up. Its working better since i started it. used to have losses of about £3 a day or less. Now its on the turn.Just got to keep getting profit everyday for a couple of weeks then i will up the stakes.

Only got 3 tracks tomorrow and yes i will be betting on every race!!!

If i could work out how this works and how you do this:-

how can you possibly be winning with a 10 pence e/w on a 3/1 (placed).

if the bet is settled at 1/5 the odds then you will lose 4p
and if it was settled at 1/4 the odds then you will lose 2p

so how can you possibly say your winning?.

And if you want to back in every race, you wanna try doing placepot's mate, in the long run, it will be better financially.

What i do is place my bets. If i make a loss its small.I find it better to do it this way rather than win only. I get some of my stake back and do not lose it all, but if it wins i gain.
This is why my stakes are small until i learn the system. I have only been betting since the national,but ihave gone from making big losses to making small profits. Im just doing this so i can learn betting and select my horses a little better & get my own system.We all had to start somewhere!!
I know it takes time to learn but i am sure i will get there.
I tried the Treble betting today and got 4 right out of 6 again small profits.
Once i can get small profits everyday for 2 months or more i will up the stakes.
I always keep a file on my losses and profits and also the horse,track,date,odds etc, for future use.
Normally i would bet on odds 4-1 1-4 or 5-1 1-5. Im onlydoing it this way to work out a system and have fun at the same time. Its only very small stakes so it lasts for ages!!
