Default FA Cup System

Being the convict I am, I have stolen an idea from this forum and am looking to apply it to this weekend's FA Cup fixtures. The idea I'm borrowing is evilchris' 1/X HT/FT system. I am applying this bet to games where:

The home team is exactly 1 league below the away team
The away team plays in the Premiership
The home team plays in the conference

The first reason is kind of following on from Chris' premise, in that the home team could score first with the crowd behind them etc., with the away team equalising as they are supposedly the better side, at least in this case.

Premiership teams for no real reason, except that I remember some teams struggling in their away games (Man Utd, Boro last year etc.) This might actually be a stupid criteria to include but this is small stakes experiment.

Conference teams because they are the ones who are really participating in the 'dream' of the FA Cup, and so may well be the ones most inspired in early stages of a game.

For round 3, this includes:

Bristol v Coventry @ 15
Hull v Boro @ 15
Leicester Fulham @ 15
Brum v Newcastle @ 15
Cardiff v Spurs @ 17
Sheffield Wednesday v Man City @ 15
Tamworth v Norwich @ 19
Doncaster v Bolton @ 19
Nottingham v Charlton @ 15

Realising there is only so far one can go, I've elected to put these 9 selections into doubles and trebles ONLY. If there are 4 or more then more winning doubles and trebles. This is being done with real money but I want to keep stakes at a minimum, so it's a 25 cent stake on 36 doubles and 84 trebles.

Firm: Bet365
Total Staked: $30

Default Re: FA Cup System

Deciding that some of the superior teams might also roll on with their momentum, I decided to also do the same bet for HT-1/FT-2:

1 Tamworth - Norwich @ 26.00
2 Birmingham - Newcastle @ 29.00
3 Bristol City - Coventry @ 29.00
4 Doncaster - Bolton @ 26.00
5 Hull - Middlesbrough @ 29.00
6 Leicester - Fulham @ 29.00
7 Nottm Forest - Charlton @ 29.00
8 Sheff Wed - Man City @ 29.00
9 Cardiff - Tottenham @ 29.00

Same staking plan as before - 36 doubles and 84 trebles, stake of 25c and total stake of $30.

Only Bristol v Coventry met the criteria. Experiment is a total failure but at odds played I guess that was to be expeted. Not much lost so that's ok.
