Post Which currency do you prefer in GH threads?

Reason i ask is that i have my BetFair account in SEK (Swedish currency),
and therefore in my GH threads it's easier for me to use SEK.

But as a vast(?) majority of PL users are used to £ it might be easier for them if i use £ instead?

EDIT: I have sometimes used both but it's a pain to convert all the time

From a personal point of view, it would be far easier in £, but then it's your money and your threads so ultimately, it's up to you! ...

People may find it easier to follow though if it is in £, but, if you want to keep it in SEK - a thought woudl be to mayeb stick up a table of approximate currency conversionsn in post #1?!

To be honest I don't think it really matter which currency you use for your Glory Hunts. Surely the idea is that whatever amount you start with, you increase through successful betting to a higher target? The only reason that people would want to see the values in a specific currency would be to understand the risks you make with the equivalent in their own money. Ultimately in a way that's maybe a selfish motivation from the reader for wanting a specific currency. I say stick with your usual currency and we'll just watch that value increase as you do well!

technically it shouldnt really be a problem - whether its SEK, £, $, points, guinea pigs, as long as you acurately record your opening bank, your +/- and updated bank , then these figures can simply be reviewed, regardless of currency.

of course, there will always be people willing to make hard work of this

without understanding the financial position of the poster you can't understand the risk they take.

From a personal point of view, I don't like to see anything quoted in cash values, i always use pts or a percentage of my betting bank. Bets vary from 1% to 5% for me.

That is very true, £100 is a fortune for some and pocket change for others...
