|  Ante post portfolio Going to attempt the ante post markets this year and try and get some value. The news about the Teofilo drift has triggered me to post my bets. I will keep a portfolio of all my bets in here and update it. 1000 Guineas 2 pt WIN Finsceal Beo @ 4.6 I couldnt help be impressed by this animal last year and she ran really well in the Rockfel over 7f last October, following up an emphatic 5l win at Longchamp in the Prix Marcel Boussac. Will improve a lot as she grows and if fit I think she is better than Sander Camilllo the current favourite. 2000 Guineas 2 pt WIN Teofilo @ 5.9 The class horse of the race, no doubt about it. He was unbeaten in 2006 and I cant see any reason why that should change. Dutch Art is capable but is not in the same league as Teofilo. At 5/4, I considered him a very dangerous bet and was unwilling to risk it against this high class field. However, with the recent doubts over his participation the colt has drifted out to nearly 5/1 on the exchanges !!!! Although this is risky, if the rumours are quashed this small bet could pay off big time. At 5.9, I couldnt resist having a dabble, even with the doubts. 2 pt WIN Dutch Art @ 5.4 A safety net. I rate this horse very highly and I think he will be one of the top 3 year old's this season. I see Dutch Art as the main danger to Teofilo and if Teofilo doesnt run, this 5.4 could look quite a nice price. A great horse in his own right and will be very high in my shortlist if Teofilo is withdrawn. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- At least one of these bets on the 2000 guineas market will hopefully prove to be good value. For the traders amongst you, a great back-lay opportunity may arise. I think one of these horses will shorten once we find out more about Teofilo. | Re: Ante post portfolio Tennis 8 pt WIN R Nadal (ATP Masters Monte Carlo) @ 5/4 He is almost unbeatable on clay and I think he will again hold all the aces over Federer and the rest of the field. Djokovic may go close after beating Nadal a couple of weeks ago but I think Nadal will be too strong on his favourite surface. He recorded the best round of the day in Round 2 but that was surrounded by two high scores. He is back on an easier course this week and I think he is more than capable of winning this. I still think Els is struggling to re find his form after his knee injury. |

| Re: Ante post portfolio Golf: Zurich Classic of New Orleans (PGA Tour) 1 pt EW Bubba Watson @ 40/1 I think Bubba is playing well lately and I think this big hitter can go close this week. With no Tiger, Vijay or Mickelson this tournament is there for the taking. He played poorly and missed the cut last week but he was tied for 2nd 2 weeks ago in the Shell Houston Open. If he can continue to improve his short game, which is getting a lot better, I think he is hard to overlook. 1 pt EW Boo Weekley @ 25/1 FResh from his first win on the tour last week in a delayed fourth round, he may put up another good show here. It is a worry that he wont have had much of a break but I think he will be desperate to prove it was not just a fluke. At 25/1 this looks to good to turn down after his recent success. |

With Ronnie facing a tough opening match against Ding, it may open it up for one of the others to go on and win the tournament 1 pt EW Neil Robertson @ 16/1 The young Aussie has great potential and I can see him figuring in the big one this year. He is capable of knocking some of the big names that stand in his way out and I think he is more than capable of reaching the final if he shows his true form. Mainly a cover bet for Higgins as I think Murphy has the credentials to go all the way again. Wachovia Championship 20 pts WIN Tiger Woods Hasnt been in form recently but finds himself, yet again up near the top of the leaderboard. I can see him making amends for his recent form and I think he will win the tournament easily. Tried to get on yesterday at 5/2 but narrowly missed the start and betting was suspended. I still think 10/11 is a price worth putting a decent amount of money on. Will update this list with winners/losers and returns after the Snooker and Golf on Tuesday. He is an entertaining golfer to watch and always attacks the pins. When he is hot he is hot. He racked up a few top 10 finishes on the PGA tour at the end of last year and I think if he can reproduce that form 125 will look very big. 0.5 pt EW Rory Sabbatini @ 66/1 Is either very hot or very cold. He looks to be coming into form with a Top 10 at the Wachovia Championship and if he can string a few consistent rounds together he cannot be discounted 1 pt EW Geoff Ogilvy @ 50/1 A very capable player who tends to perform better in the bigger tournaments. He won a couple of good un's last year and if he can find his form again he may snatch a place. 1.25 pts EW Adam Scott @ 25/1 Played well a few weeks ago when, I think, winning. His putting let him down hugely that day and if he has improved on that he should be right up there. He won the event last year so will be desperate to hold onto his crown. 0.5 pt EW Arran Oberholser @ 66/1 Played consistently well at the Wachovia last week and seems to be coming into form. Oberholser is one of the most consistent players on the tour IMO and consistency can be essential in the big tournaments. I expect a good show from Arran this week. 12 pts BIG 4 (v field) @ 2.52 Big 4 consists of WOODS, SONGH, MICKELSON, ELS With Tiger and Vijay filling the first two places at the Wachovia this looks a cracking bet. The two should handle this course, and rightful favourites for this event. Vijay certainly seems to be finding his form again and I think Tiger is going to go on a run of tournament sucesses. We also have Mickelson and Els thrown in there in case they find some form and manage to challenge Tiger. 5 pt LAY Ernie Els to make cut @ 1.26 Hasnt been the same since his knee injury and he seems to be struggling to find any sort of form. If he is not firing this course will find him out and I can see him finishing well down the field. I think 1.26 is too short for him to make the cut, hence the lay. I will be backing Tiger but will wait and try to get better odds after the first round. Good luck all.
