£1000 in a week - The Punters Lounge

As this is the first of my spectacular-ish bets I fully expect it to die after the first bet!

Anyhow the idea is that I start with £10 and within a week take that over £1,000! I'm going to look at a bet a day as I figure that 7 bets at evens or greater will take me over that £1,000 mark. So this time next week I will know whether I achieved or just how spectacularly I failed. How wonderful a thing hindsight will be this time next week!

I'm going to try to avoid any more than doubles as I feel adding more teams adds greater risk of the betting failing. I want to try to be as certain as I can about each bet and see whether it's possible to win this much money if you're sensible about bets and with a bit of luck. Hell if it doesn't come off then I'll only have lost £10 and then I might well start over!

I will post my first bet here when I get home from work in about an hour or so and from there on let's just hope it can happen!

one thing though, if you're planning on starting with £10 and betting each day to get up to a grand....

then this is just the same as a 7-fold accy, just betting after each round rather than all at the same time

Sorry not been around for long but for my first bet.... tempted to go U2.5 on Stoke v Barnsley @ 1.79... any other ideas?

If first bet doesn't happen tonight due to lateness then I'll have it ready in plenty of time tomorrow as I want this show on the road!

Gone with it... will be tough second half depending on how Stoke come out! Barnsley have a bad defensive record but Stoke just aren't making the good chances! Managed to get @ 1.8 in the end so will be short of my double money but still at a bit of a profit!

Can we make sure guys that we do confirm any bets before kick off in GH just so noone can be accused of after eventing.

10 @ 1.80 returns £18 - Yield 80% ....

I am doing a glory hunt of my own and after 116 bets ranging in odds from 1.50 to 2.25 my longest win streak is 5.

If you achieve this you will deserve massive praise and you will have to have big balls on the 7th bet!! LOL!

Yup lol! That's if I reach that far! Don't even know what I'm going to be backing for tomorrow yet! Going to have to look around and see what is available value wise!

Tonight is the turn of WBA v Middlesborough but this time I'm taking the overs market! Over the last 10 Middlesborough games there is an average of 3.7 goals scored. 21 goals scored in their 5 FA Cup games so far at an average of over 4 per game. The last three games Middlesborough have played in the cup yielding 2-2 draw each time.

29 goals in WBA's last 10 league games with an average of 2.9 goals per game.

Each time wanting to attack and win the game in 90 minutes and so with Kamara and Yakubu able to provide the goals then surely there is goals in this game!

I'm going to take the O2.5 goals which at the moment stands at 2.06.

That will be my next bet!

So £18 @ 2.06 = potential return of £37.08

With this one... The betting zone actually give the tip to be over 4, So 2.5 looks good.
