Lol the problem i now have (i say problem, its a bloody great situation to be in) is that i have the 50k miles from my bad beat win, and now another 40k in my vpoints so i dunno what to do

I really really wanna go to south africa and for 10k extra i can take someone with me.....or its vegas for wsop again!

Got a response to my email today (Virgin obviously on hols for a week ). Ollie has offered me a seat in the January final instead, which is great as I doubt I'll be able to play any qualifiers this month with the trip to warmer climes.

Just a warning about the date again this month - the final is showing in the lobby at the moment for Saturday 26th, but Ollie's email to me says the final is 27th. Looks like the same mistake again by BOSS.

Value Calculation:

Final: Assuming 60 Entrants.
100,000 V Points / 60 = 1667 V Points per person
1667 V Points = £16.67 = $33.34

Heats: Assuming 100 entrants
25,000 V Points / 100 = 250 V POints per person
250 V Points = £2.50 = $5
In addition 5 x $33.34 final seats are awarded:
(33.34 x 5) / 100 = $1.67
$5 + $1.67 = $6.67

They give away 10 seats not 5 to the monthly final, so value is marginally increased to $8.33.

Seems clever and simple to play 5 cent tables to burn $5 and get into the V points, yes? Is it that easy and in theory i could do in few hours on the same day?

Each site has their own rules for working out what counts, but on Virgin (and Boss sites in general I think) a raked hand is any hand where you have contributed to the pot and see a flop, irrespective of table stakes. So playing the micro tables for about an hour should see you into the V Roll. You can't find out how many hands you've played, but if you leave the cash table and try to register for the V Roll it will tell you how many you have if you are short (but allow 5minutes or so for it to update).

If you just want the raked hands just to play the v-roll game, play the lowest buy-in short handed limit game open 3 tables and you will have your raked hands in about 15 minutes(hopefully with a small profit)
