Hi guys,
following picks for today and tomorrow:

WTA TOUR, ROME
BRIANTI TO D VOSKOBOEVA @ 2.05 at betfair
KRAJICEK TO D POUTCHKOVA @ 1.45 at interwetten

ATP TOUR, HAMBURG
MOYA TO D FISH @ 1.4 at pinnacle

Italians somehow are always playing 150% at home (Volandri, Starace last week). Voskoboeva is out-of-form and is not at her best on clay. With H2H 2:0 to Brianti, she is a slight favorite in this one.

Krajicek is not at her best in 2007 but Poutchkova is completely
out-of-form. Last week she had a very tough win over a 15 y.o. Czech girl ranked around 1000 in the world and then lost to Schruff 6:2, 6:2. Clay is definitely Poutchkova's least favorite surface.

Fish, as most Americans just can't play on clay. Moya is still a force. The H2H is 2:2 with Moya winning the only clay court match very easily.

E. Daniilidou vs K. Sprem
i am quite sure that sprem will loose
my only doubt is to place or not to place large amount on that
sprem is a poor player and when she go through the qual throught the first round that is nacional new.
danild is a great player aand much worst player can beat sprem easily

Safin v Massu
SAFIN @ 2.04 Betfair
Safin beat Massu as recently as Feb 9th this year in straight sets in Davis Cup on clay quite easily.
Not sure why Massu is the marginal favourite here. Yes I know he had good run to last 16 last week but he didn't actually beat anyone decent. Blake is rubbish on the surface and now suddenly people think Massu is a very good clay courter becuase he beat him!
Safin is not out of form in my opinion, he should have beaten Vliegen in Monte Carlo and had a close loss to Davydenko last week. The results will come his way and I think it'll come this tournament.

Peer had some injury problems last week but that was a light injury after she fell during training. She had all week to recover and if she is fully fit I don't see any chances for Radwanska here.1.50 for Peer is a gift imho.

Maybe a little risk, but I have in my eyes the good impression of last week, so
Filippo Volandri to beat Murray at 1.77 with Blue Square.

Volandri played very solid and impressive at Roma last week and he lost easily, only in semifinal, after he has beaten Federer and berdyck, by Gonzales, but he never came in the match.

Murray is always unpredictable player on clay court, but I guess they should pay something to the actual condition of Volandri and his game, on clay, is not so safe for an eventual tired match.

Safin v Ferrero
SAFIN @ 2.22 Betfair
I was actually impressed with performance of Safin, from a tennis side that is! defeating a man in form Massu.
He plays Ferrero here, H2H is 5-5 Safin winning last encounter at the French Open in 2005.
I think Safin is running into a bit of form, he striked the ball very nicely yesterday and has been runner-up here twice so obviously he likes it here. Wheras Ferrero looks a bit exposed these days against men in form!

Kohlschreiber v Andreev
KOHLSCHREIBER @ 2.2 Paddy Power
Kohlschreiber in very good form.
He got to quarter final in Monte Carlo and lost to Nadal, he then won Munich and won good match yesrerday against Baghdatis.
So obviously by winning Munich he loves playing in his own country and he'll have the crowd behind him here.
Andreev's best performance this season on clay is a last 16 and it looks like he may struggle against an in form German.

Mathieu v Gonzalez
MATHIEU @ 2.20 Paddy Power
Mathieu has beaten Gonzalez last three times they have played, including twice this year in March at Miami and at Estoril last month, both in straight sets. Mathieu seems to have came into a bit of form on the clay, he won Casablanca and has already won three matches at this Hamburg tournament already.
Gonzalez seems to play one superb tournament, then goes out of form completley for a few weeks, he didn't show much form from Australian Open until last week at Rome.

Blake v Clement
BLAKE @ 1.58 Betfair
Both are not great players on clay, but Blake leads H2H a impressive 5-0 here.
Clement not really shown any form for a while now and his best days are far behind him.
Blake lost close match against Massu last week but he did beat Monfils and should have enough class here to go though to next round.

Tip Detail

SportTennis
EventOlaru - King
SelectionOlaru -1.5 set hc (Asian Handicap)
Strength10/10
Date16/05/2007
Bookmaker/PriceInterwetten @ 2.35 (Back)
ReasoningThere is only one winner for me in this one.Olaru is great in previous weeks. She feels great on clay and here at Fes she already crashed few opponents.King is hardly even playing on clay and she is rather prefering faster courts. She won in the first round here but her opponent was rather poor.Olaru is great material for a top wta player and she should win this one easily imho. I wouldn't touch that piece of crap Safin. If he is in form then I'm Santa Claus He beat Massu but that match was pathetic.Safin as always was throwing his rocket when he was playing awfull tennis and losing.Massu was just not good enough to beat poor Safin.Ferrero is my favourite in this match.

2nd that. I mean, my money was on Ferrero yest., but still while watching the game had overall feeling that Safin could kick his ass, but his unforced errors were on the level of challenger player. One point unbelievalbe the next one bigest crap. Stats do tell a story as he had (if i remeberright) 44 unforced errors at the end, compared to 21 of Ferrero.

btw: admit that 2nd set tie breaker was a nightmare to watch.
