2 bets for me this week.

10pts R.Baxter to beat P.Manley 13/10 Bet365

Baxter has to win this match if he is to qualify and I happen to think he will. His performance against Mardle last week gives cause for concern but knowing it's the last chance saloon here he'll want to at least have a shot of qualifying when he goes up against Barney later in the evening. I know it's the same situation for Manley but I happen to think Baxter will win this.

10pts R.Scholten to score more 180s than P.Taylor 9/4 Stan James

No, I'm not mad! Scholten is a machine at 180s and although he needs a point to guarantee qualification I can't see him getting that but he could catch Taylor on a below par night as he has nothing to play for now and maybe knock in a few 180s to see this bet through. For a machine like Scholten though I'm happy to take 9/4 all day long.

Like the reasoning behind the first bet too.

Not too sure about the second one.

Will fatigue set in for barney having to play 3 matches?? Could Baxter take advantage in 3rd game?

I also think Barney was not in top form last week after a blistering first 4 legs he waned badly and was only let off hook because Scholten was so poor.

Sorry T. I should have added that in their other fixture this season Scholten won this bet 7-2. If I'm getting 9/4 on an outcome which was so big in Scholten's favour last time I'm very happy!

It could happen Tank, but Baxter would need to have something to play for in order to beat him I think. If Baxter gets this far and is still in with a chance of qualifying then I might chuck a few quid his way because he's the type of guy who could light up for half a dozen legs and see this one off.

5 proper bets for me this week:

Wayne Mardle (+3.5) to beat Raymond van Barneveld @ 2.37 (Stan James)

Mardle only has to win 5 legs for this bet to win. I actually quite fancy Mardle to win this one. Barney will have already played a game less than an hour before. If the stage is a hot one (which the PDC ones usually are), then this could effect him. Mardle played better last week, and I look for him to continue that here.

Raymond van Barneveld to hit more 180's than Wayne Mardle @ 4/6 (Stan James)

Barney has been unrelenting on the 180's in most of his matches, and Mardle has hit very few. This looks well over priced.

Roland Scholten to hit more 180's than Phil Taylor @ 3.25 (Stan James)

I agree with Kevshat on this one. Scholten is more than capable of doubling the amount of 180's Taylor hits. My only worry is if Scholten comes out playing the same as last week, but I can't see him playing that bad 2 weeks in a row.

Ronnie Baxter (+3.5) to beat Raymond van Barneveld @ 2.37 (Stan James)

Same reasoning as above. Although i'm less confident in Baxter beating him, if Barney is struggling against Mardle, this one will be even more of a struggle for him. Baxter is likely to have to need this win to have a chance of qualifying.

Colin Lloyd to hit more 180's than Wayne Mardle @ 1.83 (Skybet)

Lloyd is a more prolific 180 scorer than Mardle, and should be a big favourite, not a small favourite in this one.

I'm also going to have a small bet on Mardle to beat Barney, and depending on what happens in that one I may also have a small bet on Baxter to beat Barney.

I've also decided to have a small Lucky 31 on a draw in all the games apart from Taylor. Just a feeling I have.....

One bet stands out for me lads:

Colin Lloyd +4.5 to beat RV Barneveld - 10pts 8/11 Paddy Power
Barney can win 8-4 and this bet is still a winner. That will do me. Im not a fan of Colin Lloyd and never will be. Barney and Taylor are on a different league to him but surely he will give it his all tonight especially as this is a must win match for him. I think he can cover the handicap easily and Barney also has nothing to play for as he is in the Semi's already.
