Hmm a pretty screwy night. I would have taken Luke for MOTM expected nobody offered the market and Ryles seems to be out of favour with the Channel 9 crew. Not much to appeal tonight, with Nathan Hindmarsh first try @ 29 my only bet. Really loving the looks of +7.5 for the Sharks, which is likely to be my only real bet of the weekend.

Eels and Tigers double for me tonight.

Tigers should win by 13+, who knows with the eels. Knights vs bulldogs should be close either way.

My double payed off, which was good as i went bigger than usual on it because it was my only bet of the night.

Nice going lads

Penrith win by 1-12 margin
Big Petero is out for the Panthers while the Sharks have also lost Gallen and Bird to Origin duty. There is not much between the two sides as the laddr shows, and there isn't much between them head-to-head either. Penrith have won their last 3 games and and with their good home form also will hopefully nudge them to victory. The Sharks defence and the rain we have had this morning should keep this close, but if anything, the rain should help the Panther speedsters out wide.

Manly win by 1-12 margin
Manly have only 1 player out for Origin while the Roosters have 4 of their forwards out. Manly are tough to beat at home but the Roosters have shown that they can still be very competitve even with their Origin players out, and it shows why they are on top of the ladder. However, the Sea Eagles have won their last 5 against the Roosters, and hold an overall 30-11 record against them. Should be a good game but Manly should get there in the end as the Roosters may have some tired legs after their hard fought win over the Tigers on Monday night

Sharks +7.5 @ 1.93 and Sharks 1-12 @ 4.50 (Both lasseters) are my two main bets today (more so the +7.5). The Sharks have only lost 1 game by more than 8pts this year and they almost always keep it close, which makes this quite a generous line. They have a strong record in their recent games at CUA and the Sharkies satisfy my most effective criteria, so am quite happy to be on them here in this fashion. Have gone the 1-12 because the Sharks rarely win or lose by more than 13+, so it offers a bit of extra value.

Anthony Watmough MOTM @ 7.50 Sportsbet
Same bet as last week, for similar reasons. The dynamism of Watmough out wide to provide a startling contrast and his powerful hole running to be the difference. I actually wasn't going to take this bet because I though it was a touch short (a similar sort of thinking that stopped me from taking Creagh on Friday - I went Ryles instead and was thinking of going Kite instead today). But anyway, I woke up this morning and had a dream that Watmough won MOTM and I wasn't on, so there you go. Go the Watmower!

I'm with you on the Sharks +7.5 crouch, have won the past 2 against penrith away, and are travelling alright at the moment.

Also like Manly 1-12 @ 3.10, both teams going well at the moment, but I think the home ground advantage for Manly may be enough to get them the win.

Good luck guys.

Gl mate. The biggest thing for me is that Penny won by a field goal last week. Teams that win by only 1pt often suffer from a drop off in intensity the following week (Eels 19-18 Dragons, lost following to Roosters, Penrith 21-20 Sharks, lost following to Eels, Sharks 17-16 Storm, lost following to Titans, Eels 24-23 Knights, Lost following to Cowboys, Knights 13-12 Manly, lost following to Eels, Knights 13-12 Titans, lost following to Storm. In fact, I don't think any team has won by a field goal this year and won the next week (which is the most effective criteria I was referring to)

Really my fault for not posting earlier, but was a little hesistant to disclose so much of the criteria I use for match betting. Sure was nice the Panthers came back, but unconvinced by Josh Perry MOTM today. I don't know what he did to stand out to day that Ryles didn't do on Friday

Anyway, well done to everyone this weekend, and here's to Origin on Wednesday.

Gold Coast -14.5
Hard to go past the Titans at home with the Storm missing 10 players due to Origin. They are also out for revenge after their mauling last year by the Storm. Should have too much for them

Any side with 10 first grade players out is going to struggle, I'm on the Titans to win by 13+.

Good luck guys.

Me Too, Melbourne short to many regulars. Last time thrashed while players away on State of Origin duty and expecting a similar result again.

Titans over 6.5 for me. Should win by heaps though, just not sure how they will go without Prince.

I'm with you on that bet brad, the Titans missing Prince has scared me off bets I previously had in mind, i.e 20+. Good luck all.
