Cronulla v Brisbane

Just a quick one here. H2H suggests a low-scoring game, Cronulla are a naturally defensive side, couple of players out. Brisbane, as always have a few players out this time of year, think it all points to a low scoring game.

Under 36.5 points @ 1.90 (Sportingbet)

For a bit of fun will also take Cronulla 16-12 and Brisbane 16-12, seems like a pretty popular score briefly looking at past h2h.

Be back later for other games.

Good Luck.

Forgot to mention wind has been very gusty all day in Sydney, and now rain is starting to appear across all areas of the City.

I've put a small bet on Cronulla, i think broncos are missing way to many players to be able to win this down here. It's raining so it will probably be a low scoring game too.

Furthermore, in Turner and Soward, I see even fewer goals. All in all, I think that under 39.5pts @ 1.90 represents a very sound bet.

Tip Under 39.5pts @ 1.90 Betstar

Liked the look of this one as well crouch, your analysis tipped me over the edge, I'm on. The rain/slippery conditions should assist in keeping the score low as well.

I think Manly will beat Nth.Qld, and have tipped them, although I just don't feel wholly confident about backing them, certainly not at 1.18, and to get the value (Manly by over 12), its a bit risky for me...H2H says Cowboys 2/2 againat Manly at Brookie in recent years, and when you factor in the wet, the reward doesn't equal the risk imo.

Good luck to those who take it.

Dragons are leading by 12 at half time too which is good for my tipping. Only stuff up so far is the eels.... couldn't bring myself to bet on them, if only i had the same thinking when it came to tipping

NZ Warriors
Two pretty inconcistent teams here who both have the ability to beat the other team. Penrith are without Civoniceva which is a big loss and will be hard pressed to stop the big NZ forwards. Penrith have lost three of the past four against the Warriors. Penrith have been poor at home while NZ have been poor away as both teams have allowe points to be scored against them. I like the Warriors to just win this, as they come off the bye and should be fresh for this game

Wests -7.5
Wests have Farah and Marshall returning for this game and are virtually at full strength while Newcastle have lost Hilder, Gidley, Buderus and Cross. Also, Newcastle are backing up after a tough game in Melbourne on Monday night and that may take some of their stamina out of this game. Hard not to like the Tigers here as they should have too much for a weakened Knights team

I've gone -

Panthers -6.5
Knights +4.5 (More heart than head here!)

Bit late now but last night I had - Sharks 1-12, Manly 13+, and Dragons -6.5 (Good night for me! )

Annoyed by the Dragons points. Really did not see that one coming at all.

Fancy the Tigers today, but I'm not sure if it'll be close or comfortable, and can't really find anything that appeals on the results aspect. However, it is round 10, and Chris Lawrence hasn't got a first try this year. I'm going to take gamble on him changing that today.

Chris Lawrence First Try @ 11 (Betstar)

Still fancy a high scoring Penrith game, but the line has been set quite high at 46.5. At this stage I think I will just leave it.

Panthers are gonna get to 50 by themselves.... They will cover the over with 20minutes to go. Wish i looked at it earlier, by the time i got to betting on it, it was set at 48.5 which put me off

Yeah I was the same. ANnoyed I didn't look harder at the Penrith line option too, but had the over set. Betfair total was only 40.5, but liquidity was absent and when I last looked, 1.70 was being requested, so there wouldn't have been as much value in it. That being said, with no Witt for the Warriors I might have been less inclined to go for it anyway.

Penrith were my bet of the week, both giving 3.5 points start and going over in total match points, as CP pointed out at the beginning of this thread.

Any brave punters out there looking to back Souths with the 4.5 start tonight? This has come in a point from earlier in the week.

Neither of these teams are great in attack, with Souths the worst attacking team in the comp, followed by the Raiders.

Although it will be cold in Canberra with a bit of dew on the ground, I am going OVER 42.5 for total match points tonight.

Both teams might be awful in attack, but their goal-line defence is even worse. There should be a few points scored tonight...

Good luck lads

Like Souths +4.5 Raiders with still a few out and Souths look decent with Luke in attack. Carney not a great kicker so the start looks a solid option, but in an encounter such as this one I think I'll just stay away altogether.

Big Bets, Betstar have the line set at 41.5 @ 1.90. Not sure what odds you are getting for 42.5 but given that 42 is 7 converted tries it's obviously liable to make a difference, so if you haven't placed the bet yet that's another option for you.

Thanks for that CP.

Haven't got an account with Betstar, but just found the same line with Lasseters. The point can and often does make a difference.

Thanks for checking that out CP. Appreciated mate!

Canberra win by 1-12 margin
Both teams are desperate for a win and should be a pretty even game. However, Canberra have a good record at home and especially at night. Canberra have won 5 of the past 7 games between the two sides as well as 7 of the past 9 in Canberra. Both teams have players out but with Canberra used to the expected cold slippery conditions they should be able to edge out the Bunnies

Sportingbet have it at 40.5 for $1.90 now.

When looking at the teams attack, look at the difference between raiders home and away performances... They averaged mid 30s at home last year and low 20s or something away. There is a considerable difference in their home and away performances.

- Canberra has won seven of the nine matches between the two at Canberra Stadium.
- The last time South Sydney won in Canberra was in 2005.
- South Sydney has lost their last five away matches, and 12 of their last 15 matches.
- Souths are only 2/8 WITH the start, Canberra are 1/1 GIVING the start

I can't make up my mind whether or not i will bet on raiders. I won't be betting on souths, so its either raiders or no bet for me.

Majority of the money coming in must be going on Souths because the odds for a raiders win have raised a bit.

I'm almost going to back the under tonight. What are we looking at with totals so far this round. I think its 6-1 on overs or maybe 5-2 on overs, but i am pretty confident tonight will go under and the unfortunate thing is that it isn't raining in Canberra, but it is cold as usual.
