| Last years race was great - Kimi made a mistake in the last corner in quali which cost him a clear pole. His race pace was awesome, in the early stages he was travelling behind Hamilton and was already 1.50 on Betfair. Won it easy. Hopefully be able to find some good bets this weekend.

| Qualifying RAIKKONEN @ 3.5 Brtfair. OK, I might be missing something here as the Betfair price is much longer than anywhere else with the next best being 3.00. But, I fancy Kimi to take this and I would probably take the 3.0. Kimi was a bit low-key in practice which has definately affected the prices but I wouldn't read too much into that. He has a new engine for this race, said in an interview earlier this week he'll be going for pole so expect im to be pretty aggressive. He would have got pole last year quite easily still carrying more fuel than Hamilton and Massa but made a big mistake in the last corner. He showed in the race that his pace was awesome and I expect a very good performance from him this weekend especially as he needs to assert himself on Massa after his problems in France.

| Strange qualifying session. Kimi struggled throughout but was on pole with a couple of minutes to go with everyone struggling with the wind. Then Webber then Heikki absolutely smashed that time, I'm sure it was something to do with a change in the wind so Kimi ended up 3rd. Anyway, we've got an interesting grid for the race and should be able to find at least a couple of bets.

| Kovalainen can win this race IMO tomorrow, he showed great stuff in all 3 free practice sessions. If he doesn't give up the pole... Kimi didn't show very good times at all free practice sessions. Hamilton messed up in 3rd session. Only a small bet for me him to win, he hasn't won a race ever in F1, so definitely a risky one, since he has no experience to keep holding to a pole and ... Kimi just average in Silverstone... |

| RAIKKONEN to win @ 3.5 VC. Kimi failed me in qualifying, but I'm willing to have another go in the race. He struggled a lot early in qualifying but the car seemed to be getting better as the session went on and in the end he looked pretty good. Starting 3rd isn't so bad and I'm still remembering his race pace from last year. I'm not sure what happened at the end of the session, but Webber and Kovalainen were so fast it does seem like a change in conditions. Either that or they are both extremely light and then it should be straightforward for Kimi in the race. Whatever, I think he'll be a couple of laps heavier than Heikki and should be able to get ahead later in the race. I think Kimi will beat Hamilton quite comfortably, Lewis really had to be starting ahead of Kimi to win this race. Kovalainen hasn't won a race yet, and this is a good opportunity, but I don't think he should be favourite for this one. COULTHARD to finish in the points @ 3.00 Ladbrokes. I was thinking 2.5 for this so 3.00 is reasonable. DC starts 11th in his final British Grand Prix but was very clos to getting in the top 10. The Red Bull has shown good speed this weekend and looks pretty good in the strong winds. Could be a tough start to the race with Massa and Kubica just ahead and looking to move up, but that's going to affect Piquet and Vettel so could give DC a good chance to get onto the back of them. Just expect a good performance from DC. PIQUET to finish in the points @ 3.00 Sportingbet. Backed Piquet to finish in the points in France and he did me proud, so having another go here. Renault seem to have improved recently but will hope the race pace holds a bit better than it did in France. After a very shaky start Piquet has really upped his game recently and qualified a solid 7th. He will have problems early on with Massa and Kubica charging through, but I think he can do a good job and has a decent shot at some points.

| I live about 3 miles from the track. We seem very likely to get rain both before and during the race tomorrow looking at the local forecast. How do you think that might affect things Mr I? Who would particularly like to see rain and who wouldn't? |

(but it did rain about 5 minutes after qualifying finished )Massa and Kubica would probably like to see rain as it would be a better chance to move up - but still with the big guns at the front they'd need some luck to get close to a podium. Anyone who didn't make Q3 will be able to adapt there strategy after seeing the weather so guys like Coulthard , Button, Fisichella are all good in the wet and maybe Barrichello and Rosberg for the chance to move up might be worth a shot for the points. For the win, probably Hamilton. Heikki probably won't want it as he'll just want a 'normal' race and it gives Webber a much better chasing of staying with him in the early stages. I think Hamilton would fancy his chances against Kimi better in the wet as in the dry I don't see him having the pace.

| I have gone for odds of 12 with Betfair for Raikkonen to be leading at the end of lap 1. I think that he will push from the off to get ahead and usually there is a gamble and someone forcing their way through to lead the pack. At those odds I feel that it is worth a little flutter as think there's bit of value in there especially with Raikkonen keen to lead to give himself the best chance and the fact that he is only 3rd and with arguably the best car for tomorrow's race.

| Surprised to see Webber so low, or perhaps just disappointed, seeing as I'd hate to have him win his first race without me being on him. Still, I'm not convined that he's exactly great value at those odds. One thing that does spring to mind though is that David Coulthard always goes very well in rain affected races. As Mr Intensity mentioned his fuel strategy might play a role in this one too. Anyway, I've found my spot of value for this one: David Coulthard to finish in 4th or 5th Postion @ 29.00 Stan James
