I like the look of Patavian Prince (10/3) here. Been running very consistently of late and chases a hat-trick tonight. His last two wins have come on fast ground, with the win at Brighton coming in a class 5 handicap, which he again tackles tonight. He was put up 4 lbs for his next outing at Lingfield and was a decent 2 length winner, but he didn't beat much that day as second was only rated 62 and 3rd was rated 63.

However, you can only beat what is put in front of you and prior to that he had shown superiority over Millfield at Brighton, and that one was rated 69 and won NTO at Kemp off 69. 3rd was one of Stoute's fillies who was rated 70.

Jo Crowley's gelding is rated 69 for this but Travis Block takes off 3 lb to put him just 3 lbs above his last winning mark and he should have a good chance given the form with Millfield et al. He won over this trip LTO and has gone very close the last two times he's been partnered with this jockey.

The fav in the race is 15/8 shot Linda Green, who won over CD LTO in a better race than this. Mick Channon's horse drops in class and runs off the same mark of 56 as she carries a 6 lb penalty for her win in a fillies handicap 7 days ago. However, she looks less consistent than Patavian Prince and hadn't even placed in any of her 9 races prior to that win so I'm a little wary of backing her at the price now she's back in with the boys, even though she won well enough LTO and had a 74-rated horse back in second (won by 4 lengths).

Patavian Prince 1 pt win 10/3 Coral

6.30 Lady Rusty, 33/1 in RPF

Maiden race for two year olds.

This one is an unraced filly from the yard of P Winkworth.

From his 16 juvenile debutants this season, 2 have won at 33/1 and 50/1

Can he strike for a third time ?

Lady Rusty ran well I thought. Nice introduction.

The 7.00 looks very tough. Equualeus Pictor has been running into inform typs (Cheveton and Kelamon) and has a decent chance in this race and I couldn't put anyone off it - just a little short for me though, currently 2/1.

I thought Twosheetstothewind (chances of some form although inconsistent) and Bertbrand (travelled well in a race he couldn't win LTO) could be value.

They are alarmingly big on betfair (23 & 44) which is a worry. Mini stakes for me just for an interest. Not really a betting race.

This is much more like it. An above average Class 4 handicap here and even though I like the first four in betting, the market is open enough for me to play all.

Summerstrand looks a nice prospect will win more races for sure. This may've come a little too soon though.

Willow Dancer is a horse I've followed all season and he has done me proud. Foolish to say he cannot cope with another hike in the weights and he remains on my side.

Fountain Abbey won well here LTO after running in Aqlaam's hot maiden - handicapper has been fair with the mark of 80.

Born Tobouggie did well to finish 2nd to Ella on her 2nd start and wasn't disgraced behind Yadree LTO, will appreciate tonight's ground more than the ground at Newmarket and she is interesting in handicaps for the rest of the season. Well handicapped potentially.

They go 4.1 the field on betfair so I will back Born Tobouggie and Fountain Abbey for profit will Willow Dancer and Summerstrand saving my stake.

Not going to get rich IF I back the winner but these are all horses I like, lets hope I get the casts to bump it up!

1-2-3-4

Best result for me with one of the 'profit' horses Born Tobouggie winning.

Exacta - £25 (12 bets)
T/C - £75 (24 bets)

Duncan has drifted slightly due to his LTO victor being beaten in the 7.30. That is a mistake however as Summerstrand wasn't disgraced and I made up my mind to back Duncan regardless of how Summerstrand run.

He is well liked by his trainer and he run a race full of promise FTO. Whether or not he wins this he WILL be winning races in the future (although probably over further) - and he may be one to have on your side.

6/4 now on betfair.
