this horse went into my notebook last time out, getting no run at all under the inexperienced stacey renwick at bath. stepped up to the somewhat specialised trip of 11f today, this could be the perfect distance for this dual hurdle winner. ideally needs a touch of rain, but was pulled out of a race on the day at leicester the other week, when the going changed to soft. re-united with good claimer luke morris, racing off the same mark of 49, i am hoping for a big run.

Arabian Art looks to have the best form in the race. Henry Cecil's filly came second to Milton of Campsie at Redcar on her last run and that winner was thrown into the Irish Guineas thereafter (although it was one of the rank outsiders and finished at the back of the field). However, the form was given a boost earlier in the week when the 4th, Leonid Glow, won here on her handicap debut. 11/8

Countrywide City was narrowly beaten by Tagula Breeze at Redcar LTO and runs on similar ground today. Trainer has a strike rate of 28 % here and in my opinion Ashley Hamblett is well worth his 5 lbs after some decent rides on the all-weather (Dodaa springs to mind). 4/6

The Willowy Wigeon was only beaten by a head LTO at Bath, but her conqueror, Maybe I Will, has boosted the form by going onto win another handicap since for Hayley Turner. Drawn low in stall 2 which is a help and Tolley Dean is one of the better apprentices here. 9/2

This one showed promise on his debut finishing 5th behind a winner who recorded a fast time and subsequently took a class 2 event. The runner up has also won since. He stayed on after being outpaced early on so theres a suspicion that an extra furlong could suit better but he nevertheless looks the main threat to the favourite and should be capable of at least placing.
