Default Spotted a Gem!

Scrooby Baby, 2:30 Bath

SCROOBY BABY 2-y-o (13 Mar 2002) b f Current Owner: Paul J Dixon
Mind Games (6.4f) - Lunar Music (Komaite (USA)(7.2f)) Current Trainer: J A Osborne
(100,000gns) 3rd foal, half-brother to tough and top-class 2003 juvenile Milk It Mick; dam won three 5f sprints, including at 2

the racing post predicts this horse will be priced around 7/1, now that is ferking value! especially as its running in a class F race, not handicapped by the weights or anything! i'm gonna stick a shed load of money on this horse, and i'll follow it for a while, looks like it might win alot of races

beers are on me if it comes in

Yes I watched the race, didn't invest. The horse should definately win a race in the near future. A nasty incident on the bend involving the 2 market leaders would be the only negative on how good the form is.

Default money money monney!

i had £100 e/way on it

i think its deffinately a horse to follow in the future, but look out for excess weight and crap jockeys, but i think this horse will go from strength to strength, made a nice debut anyway

Entered in some pretty decent upcoming races, but runs tomorrow at Class F again (2.00 Lingfield). Has Holland on board, and could be worth a look at around 7's again

so from 2 starts its had 2 2nd's, building upto a win i think, on its next outing be sure to take notice if its wearing blinkers or not, should be a good sign.

One to watch, blinkered or otherwise I think, entered in another Class F next Monday, but look at the races after that! Bear in mind the classes are 1-5 from 1st September.
Entered in the following races :-
16 Aug 2004 2:30 (Five Day) at BRIGHTON, E.B.F./Alexander Catering Median Auction Maiden Stakes (Class F)
8 Sep 2004 1:40 (Five Day) at DONCASTER, £200000 St Leger Yearling Stakes Class 1
2 Oct 2004 2:55 (Five Day) at REDCAR, Betfair Two-Year-Old Trophy (Class 1) (Listed Race)
22 Oct 2004 3:05 (Five Day) at DONCASTER, DBS October Yearling Stakes (Class 1)

excuse my french but i'd say thats some weird s h i t all those top class races, and so far its only been running in class F, the stable must know something to enter a horse into those races, i'll be sure to get my money on when it runs.

The three classier races that this horse is entered in are the 'sales races', to run in these events a horse must have passed through certain sale rings.
Once this happens entry into these races is pretty much automatic, so the fact Scrooby Baby appears to have been entered in better class than it has so far run in is nothing to get excited about.

This one should win a small race somewhere over 6f on ground not too fast. It would be interesting to see what sort of mark it would get in a nursery.

Cheers,
Rio.

Ta for that input Rio. Just thought it was notable.

On the subject of horses to follow, this is currently being considered as a forum in it's own right.

we'll need a few experts for that forum if it materialises, hard enough to pick a winning horse to win its next race, let alone debutants lol

Doesn't have to be debutants. I know of a few this week that have performed well and would certainly be ones to watch next time out.

i know what u mean, but personally i find debutants better, usually come at a nice price unless they're stoute or suroor horses.

Default Re: Spotted a Gem!

the idea behind it would be when people spot horses staying on really well etc.. to put them in the thread ie HASHIMA 2.50 FOLKESTONE from the Clive Brittain yard was absolutley motoring at the death were as the other horses were all out, (anyone who watched will know what i mean) so surely this is a horse to follow NTO even more so with an extra furlong...the example above Scrooby Baby with its entry in the £200,000 St Leger and its running in Class Fs, there must be a win pretty soon in this horse i think you get the idea !

Cheers
