320 Uttoxeter : Absolute Power (14/1)

First real EW fancy for a while, a very competative handicap with on paper many in with a shout. This horse has been quite consistant lately and will like the ground. His run behind Oslot at Sandown reads well and i reckon many of his opponents are a few pounds too high, wears cheek peices and the trainer is in form. The horse is also a C/D winner so everything looks right for a decent run. At around 14/1 i can think of many worse bets today.

Reasoning	Tony McCoy's record on this one is simply amazing - 2,1,1,1,1,2,2,1,F,2. Yeah .. the weight is much, but the price is big as well. Return from some time off was hard and the horse struggled, but then showed 2 good efforts over fences. Showed plenty of spirit to reach a place at Bangor last time and if he's back to his old self he may run a very good race here.

Reasoning	Standout price from ladbrokes with most bookies only offering 25-1. On its last run it was 4th but that was on heavy ground with 2 winners and 2 places coming from that race and it was a Group 1 contest. It was also staying on that day. It had won a Group 2 before that on soft-heavy over todays 1 mile trip. It also got to within a head of Teofilo over 7f at Curragh and that was a short price until being pulled out of the race. Could be some concern as it's 1st race of the season but Aidan O Brien is in fine form with both Yeats and Dylan Thomas winning last weekend and he has had the winner of this in the past. Horse also out of Rock Of Gibraltar, previous winner.

DUTCH ART 3.25 Newmarket.

Didn't perform as expected last time, but I feel better will be seen today. Trip ( up to 1 mile and a question to answer, but I feel she'll get it, despite plenty thinking she won't ) and ground ( Handled good/firm fine before ) not a problem for my money, and I feel she certainly has the ability to go well in context with this top class race and so at odds of around 19.5 ( betfair) I feel she's worthy of e/w value.
