Default NAP Of The Day - Wed 4/4/07

SportHorse Racing
Event2.50 Catterick
SelectionFestive Chimes (Each-Way)
Strength5/10
Date04/04/2007
Bookmaker/PricePaddy Power @ SP (Back)
ReasoningMade a note of this to follow after recent win over hurdles. That was a decent class 3 race and capable of taking a class 6 handicap such as this. Was 3rd on the aw over 1m4f but probably wanted further and the step up to 1m7f will suit. Up to 60 rating but runs mostly over hurdles usually and interesting that it turns out today on turf after only 19 days ago been hurdling. Many of the others will neeed the run, this should be spot on.

EW BET (expected odds 13-2)

Right guys,

I'm sorry to have to say this, but I've just been entering the NAPS for last few days, and every day there's been someone that can't comprehend how to post a tip.

So for everyone:

READ AND FOLLOW THE RULES
Here's a link to the rules as well.

And for the super-dim, here's a quick list of what is ABSOLUTLY NECESSARY for a tip in the NAPS thread.
  • Selection
  • Course
  • Time
  • EW (If you don't put EW, its going in as a WIN)
These details must be Clear and seperate from the reasoning.

Reasoning is to be included on all tips, try and make an effort. Please do not link to your reasoning in other threads or websites.

If you can't be bothered to list the MINIMAL set of information, I can't be bothered to enter it into the database, ok?

Please guys, I don't like seeing the few spoil it for the many. I'm really sorry I've had to get a bit authorative and don't intend to be so anal in the future, but its not much to ask is it?

Let me put it another way, I've spent time over the last 4 days (including an entire day off) creating the necessary databases/calculations/code to run this thing and give you all the data you've asked for. If you can't be bothered to put the time in posting the course, time and more than a sentance of reasoning, I just find that disrespectful....

All hail Mowgli, who leads by example here!

Anyone needing an example of how NAP's should be posted can look at mowgli's post above.

It's always hard when you don't have the time or the course. You have to check on the Racing Post site or whatever ... what the horse did ... and enter it into the spreadsheet. It takes time.
Ratty always forgets to write the course

3:10 Nottingham - Terenitia

Won first time out last year, has won 4 of 7 over 5f and runs well in small fields.

3.50 Catterick

Kabis Amigo's

1pt win

backed this horse on his last two victories, course and distance winner, is on 1lb lower mark, loves to dictate the race from upfront, cant see any others that would be likely to contest an early lead.will be fresher than main rivals who haven't had a recent run, can come very close imo to completing the 4 timer.

SPECIAL PLACE (0.5pts EW)
4.30 Lingfield
RPF 4/1
Provided all stand their ground with 8 runners here, an absolute corking EW bet to nothing if you can get 5/1 early doors. Most of the rivals here have form in a lesser grade, and are frustrating types. The selection, however, is in good form and only 1lb higher than last 2 runs when running very well in this company. A repeat of those 2 efforts should see this horse get its head in front. Reunited with Oscar Urbina, who rode the horse when winning over C&D in December.

Hi
Agree with xabi400
Kabis amigos 3.50 Catterick won here last August carrying 9-9 in a class 6 race and has won 3 at Wolverhampton so is extremely fit, although it is class 5 has 10lb less to carry and some of the dangers in the race have not been on a racecourse for a while. 4 timer looks on. 1 pt win

Good luck

4.20 Catterick ~ Weekend Fling

Promising last season over 6f, leading a long way when second on his debut, a drop to 5f, drawn 1, looks ideal here to get off the mark. Opposition look very ordinary and the stable is in good form so should be fit and ready. 1pt win

4.40 Nottingham: SPRING GODDESS (nap)
Won on Sunday with a bit to spare under Jamie Spencer at Lingfield. Rated 4lb lower on turf so a 6lb penalty won't cause his too much problems and can land this again under Spencer.

Tipped that one on sunday. Should win again today. But I also like the look of Kabis Amigo - racing on a 10lb lower mark than his last win in Catterick and showing some great form on AW. Will decide later which one to be my NAP, but I do like them both and I'll be banking on them

3.10 Nottingham - Patavellian
Only the one apperance last season just 2 lenghts behind the winner in a group 3, behind some very usefull sprinters. Has excellent form over 5furlongs in much better races than this and if the 333 days of the track doesn't bother him he should win this with ease. Bond city looks the best of the rest.

3.50 Catterick - Kabis Amigos

CD winner, showing good form in AW races. Class 5 race, but less to carry. The other horses haven't run lately so they will need the race and Kabis Amigos is fit enough to take an early lead and win it.

1pt WIN

2.50 Catterick - Accordello 1PT WIN

Was a costly failure when well backed a number of times on flat last season. Since had confidence boosted with wins over jumps. Starts today
on lowest mark and dropped in grade.

3.50 - Catterick - Sir Orpen. Horse is well handicapped compared to two years ago and should be fit after a 7 month break.
