3:30 Haydock Park: Laterly - 25/1 Ladbrokes Seems to come to hand at this time of the year. THere are obviously plenty here with chances but most of those are nowhere near 25/1 so as ever I shall go for what I see as value. Tate is not a big yard but knows how to win races last this and had a good winner last night so there is obviously nothing wrong with the inmates at present

2.55 Flame of Gibraltar 3/1 lad 10 pts High Heeled could be tough to beat but the ground is likely to be as quick as she wants it and for she didn’t prove conclusively she got the trip at Epsom, she saw it out ok but a couple of furlongs out I thought she would go on and win and then slightly faltered for me. So it could be a race wide open and I like this improving filly. She has stepped up run after run and clearly is going the right way, second in a maiden, then an easy winner and then a big step up to a second in a group 2. Any sort of further improvement which is very possible, brings her very close today and she looks set to run a big race. 3.30 Love Galore 20/1 bet3 bog 5 pts e.w A bit of a wildshot here but one who has conditions seemingly to suit and could strike off a mark that he was successful off at good last year in a very similar kind of race. Since that day his form has been mediocre and included a spell in dubai at the start of the year where bar one run he was below par. At Epsom at the start of the year he could never get into a race. However he has shown in the past that when there is a fair bit of pace in a race, he can fly home late on with decent ground granted and he has that seemingly today, he is back to 93 which he won off in that good race and he may have an outside chance of surprising here.

The 3.30 looks a cracking race and the looks value to be had i just hope the remaining 16 get to post. Two e/w bets for me MALT OR MASH trainer can get one ready from a break and indeed this horse won 1st time out last year. Trainer thinks a fair bit of the horse and i think what ever he does today he will improve on but with ground and distance to suit i have to have a bet on him today as his 33/1 is way to big imo. Mark Johnston has three in the race but his outsider LOVE GALORE e/w 20/1 won a good race over this distance last year and can see this one bouncing back to form and Greg Fairly who i think his a pretty decent jock has won on him.

2:20 Haydock: Thin Red Line 3pts win 11/2 Sportingbet Got off the mark for the season at Pontefract, is up six pounds but has the profile of a progressive horse and looks sure to be in the shake up. 3:30 Haydock: Yes Mr President 3pts win 9/1 Paddy Power & 2pts win Laterly 20/1 both Paddy Power (Bog) As Thommo would say, Yes Mr President could be a topical winner on the 4th July!!! Light raced and off bottom weight could build on three runs this season to take this. And Laterly ran well in this last year and although no show last time out could be primed to run a big race here.

Haydock - 4.05pm 'Doncaster Rover' (4/1) Beaten 3 lengths in the Flying Childers (GP2), 2nd last time out in a listed race, best for in the field. Tombi is a danger, finishing just behind Mia's Boy recently, but for me gp2/listed form is just that little bit better than good handicapping.

Agree with Ted in the 3.30. 3.30 Haydock Malt of Mash hasn't been seen for some time but has ran well twice returning from lengthy breaks and with the yard in good form he looks a big price at 33/1. He won a heritage handicap at Doncaster a few years back to prove he can hack it in the top handicaps, and with Patrick Hills' 3 lb claim he is racing off 6 lb higher here. He has got a decent record over a mile and a half with a few wins to his name and he will definately appreciate this fast ground. Hopefully he'll get a pace to chase. 33/1 Bet 365, EW.

5.10 Haydock Silvestre de Sousa has a good record riding for Paul Green and they have tasted success with Neo's Mate and Dancing Red Devil from three rides already in the past fortnight. Here they team up with Legal Eagle and this former David Nicholls inmate hinted that his turn wasn't far away with an encouraging third over this trip at Chester last time out. He is versatile ground wise so if the going changes either way he will be suited fine, and he runs off a mark of 80 so looks handicapped to have a chance given his Thirsk second to Machinist last year off this mark. He drops in grade from his last run and should go well. 10/1 Betfred, 1 pt win.

| 3.30 Haydock The best trainer stats for Haydock belong to Mrs A Duffield who boasts 8 winners from 31 runs here in last 5 years (over 25%). Her entry here is Just Lille who has run 3 times before at Haydock finishing 1st & 2nd over a mile & before that won over 10f here. Just Lille won a small race at Hamilton over a mile last time out but does run over 8f to 12f often. It was 2nd to record breaker before that who then franked up the form when a close 2nd at Royal Ascot. 25/1 at Bet365 looks a ridiculous price to me, should be 14's at best in my book.
