1. Reasoning is STRICTLY required for all bets
2. STRICTLY no editing of posts containing tips, if you need to correct something do it in another post, any late edits will result in disqualification from the competition.
3. 1 Bet per day, Max. If more than one is posted the FIRST named horse will count only.
4. All bets posted must be at least 10 mins before the race time and include the Time, Course and Selection name
5. Starting Price will be used for all calculations
6. All bets are to a total stake of 1pt
7. You may choose a 1pt Win bet, a 0.5pt Each Way bet or a 1pt Lay bet. If you do not state a bet type, it will be entered as a 1pt Win bet. The following rules apply for Lay and Each Way bets:
8. Each Way Bets
   The following terms will be applied to all each way bets:
   Non-Handicaps
   5-7 runners = 1/4 odds 1-2
   8+ runners = 1/5 odds 1-2-3
   Handicaps
   5-7 runners = 1/4 odds 1-2
   8-11 runners = 1/5 odds 1-2-3
   12-15 runners = 1/4 odds 1-2-3
   16+ runners = 1/4 odds 1-2-3-4
9. Lay Bets
   All lay bets are lay to win only.
   All lay bets must have a Racing Post forecast of 4/1 (5.00) or less.
10. All races and race types listed in the Racing Post Cards and Results with an SP are acceptable
11. In all cases, the Forum moderators agreed decision is final
12. "Best Bet of the Day” Award Rules, each month an award will be given for the top tipster. You must post at least 10 bets in compliance with the above rules within a calender month.
13. For strike rate purposes, any bet that makes a profit will be declared a winner, any EW bet that is placed but returns less than the 1pt stake will be marked up as a loser.

A steady start to the month with a winner, a Lay and two places.
Verismilitude got off to a flyer when put up a 10/1 winner (EW), he's well clear of Falbrav who kicked us off with one of his Lay bets.
Cassius was a touch unlucky, his animal was second at 12/1, looked liked the winner at one stage, anyhow he's in profit. Hoprock also had a place but the price of 9/2 slightly lost him money but is in fourth place.

Cassius was a touch unlucky, his animal was second at 12/1, looked liked the winner at one stage, anyhow he's in profit.

Cassius was a lot unlucky.

I guessed it would be collared before the end and got out at 4.5 with a profit, which was miles too early (no pictures here) after backing it at between 18s and 20s. It traded as low as 1.74 before it was caught. I layed it for a place in the morning as I thought 3.05 was far too low, but it never drifted like I thought it would. The highest it got to was 3.35, so I traded out just before the off for peanuts.

Still, better than a loser.

Superb day today with the thread going back into profit and the strike rate back to normal.
We had three 7/2 winners, CC75 and Milen both tipping up Moon Star at Bangor which won very easily. Rainbow got his month going along nicely when his nap also won at 7/2. Billy The Punter got his first winner for May also at 8/13 and edges back towards the black stuff.
3 good Lays were posted too, our leader Verismilitude followed up his good winner with another profitable day, Falbrav made it 2/2 for this month and Cassius stays in the top six after Laying Massini Sunset.
17 punters entered this month already, just out of interest we have 91 players on the overall table, be nice if they all posted in the same month
