| 2.50 Ascot - Without A Prayer - EW Been knocking on the door recently with an unlucky run in the Diomed at Epsom (boxed in) and then a win in a Listed race at Windsor. Steps up to a decent group race here but I think he's an improving type with more to come now that he's finally got his head in front. Might surprise some of the more established runners here with his turn of foot at the business end. Cesare is getting on a bit, can he come back from his Royal ascot exertions ? Aqlaam looks classy but has yet to win over a mile and his wins have come in big fields where he can be covered up, he tends to run 'green' in small fields. |

| 3.10 York (1m 2f, Class 2, Good) - MEDICI PEARL Is today the day for this Easterby horse, already raced here twice this seaosn in competitive handicaps over 8f & 9f, will need to get a bit a cover behind & then should be staying on at the finish. The horse wasnt done any favours by the handicapper after a decent season last year winning 4 times, however it ran a big race to get 3rd at redcar off a mark of 87 in October & i am therefore thinking todays mark of 90 is not beyond the horse especially if they find this is the best trip. The horse is definitely suited by easier ground so i just hope its not too fast there today, I was pleased it showed well on its last run when 3rd behind Lady Jane digby at newcastle in a listed race at Newcastle. Today therefore is effectively a drop in class for the horse after that effort. What i saw that day was a very fast turn of foot after getting blocked in behind runners when trying to make its run, it eat up the ground in the last 100 yards to finish well. SUPER NAP 1pt ew

| Chester 4:40 - Act of Kalanisi Only just beaten over 3f shorter on this course and looked like he was crying out for further. Should be open to improvement and weighted lightly. Acts on the ground and trainers horses running well lately. 1pt Win. |

| 4.55 YORK Langland Bay I tipped this horse up last time as my Best bet of the day, and he drifted like a barge from 10/1 out to 16/1, but he ran with some promise on only his 2nd start. He couldnt find much room, and in the end got caught out wide and hung all the way down the straight. It remains, however, that he ran a decent race on debut, and if you were to use the form (and speed figure) of that race, he wouldnt be 25/1 on Betfair for todays race. The 2 at the head of the market will be tough to beat, but at the prices, Langland Bay looks a good bet. EW |

| 8.10 Hamilton Cheyenne Red finished 4th on his first three starts in 6f maidens. Of the 9 horse that beat him, 7 have run in handicap company, those 7 have done the following in handicap company since... WON off 73 (All The Nines) WON off 79 (All The Nines) WON off 67 (Mark Of Meydan) 3rd off 80 (Strictly) 2nd off 75 (Lochan Mor) well beat (11l) off 68 (Rogalt) well beat (5l) off 83 (Avertor) WON off 80 (Sioux Rising) Cheyenne Red wasn't disgraced behind these horses, beaten 6.5l, 4l, and 8l for those 4th's so is fairly weighted off a mark of 67. Found 5f too sharp LTO when 2nd to Crimea (just won the 7.40 off 78) but back over 6f here. Could be a handicap blot. Shame the rain didn't come as it would've made him close to unbeatable, as it stands I see the g/f ground as the only negative. He could still have enough in hand to score on ground possibly quicker than ideal. Cheyenne Red - Win
