CASTLECROSSING 12.15 CHEPSTOW..... 1 pt lay Jonjo O'Niels horses are out of form and Castlecrossings has had several tough races on testing ground. Finished very tired at Towcester when she last run over 2mile 4 furlongs and the ground at Chepstow should make this race a real stamina test. At the forecast price of 6/4 she is worth taking on.

Sandown 14:40 - Breedsbreeze E/W @ 9/2 Despite Deep purple has every favoritism in this race. Yes. It was beat LTO with no chance to a 2nd place. Yes. But I think this time it can go all the way. Even though, I'm playing conservative and make it an E/W punt. The ground won't be a problem, and I think it's improving on it's form. Walsh is riding and I guess he has what it takes to get the best out of this horse!

Chep 1.20 Carrick Oscar 1 pt win Interesting runner on return from injury. Only one run so far at Towc. and won comfortably and looked a stayer, trainer comments afterwards indicated as such and it dealt with soft ground that day well. The fact it dealt with Towc. suggests to me it can deal with Chepstow. However the interesting part for me is the form of that race. It beat Mark the Book who went onto win over hurdles twice after and could be a very very good chaser eventually, the third has won lots of time since and despite a hefty enough mark on paper, there is a claimer on board, it is unexposed and trainer in decent enough form.

| 220 Wincanton: National Trust 1pt win Saw this horse bolt up at Stratford last season and put it down as one that may improve a lot. Was a bit rusty first time out this year but made up for that with a win at Ascot in a very competative race. This doesnt look much tougher and with the fav one of Nicholl's making the market slightly false a fair value price is on offer. Sure to be in the frame but i'm going to take a chance on Nakai not being as good as people think and going for the win, Mossville could run well at a decent price too but has a very poor run last time out to put right.

Sandown 14.40 - Freddie The Third First time out this season he fell at the last when in total control of the race, loves the ground, seems to prefer going right handed and he has a trainer who knows how to get one ready at a big price. There has also been some early money for this horse. Quotes: TOWCESTER 26 December 2007 Soft Freddie The Third, a bumper winner making his hurdling debut, had the racewon into the last but misjudged it badly and fell. As he had raced enthusiastically early in midfield, this was an eyecatching performance and he clearly enjoys soft ground. NEWBURY 10 February 2007 Soft Freddie The Third proved hard to steer around the left-hand turns, giving himself no chance. WARWICK 25 January 2007 Heavy He clearly handles the mud well and looks the typical mould of horse that his handler excels with. Good Luck to everyone & all your bets!! ![]()

15:10 Sandown - Chivalry 0.5pt e/w Loves the mud and ground too fast last time out, run behind osana and sizing europe looking like excellent form as both feature near top of champion hurdle betting. Only 4lbs higher and Pigeon Island has also won again since. Chivalry is carrying top weight but I give this a massive chance.

Wild Bill Tracey 1.40 Lingfield. LAY. Yet to win a race (8 attempts) and looks handicapped up to best. Not sure if he's genuine enough to win this race and with several live dangers I wasn't surprised to see the 7/4 tissue price look very short. Should be there or there abouts, but I think a place is the best this one can achieve.

7.20 Kempton - Hit The Roof Taking this because of the value. Only Betfred offer 3/1 and imo the horse should be around 2/1. Very consistent sort and I can't see a reason why he won't be up there again. For the Best Bet Of The Day SP is taken, but I will still put the bet here. This is the most consistent horse in the race and will take all the beating.

Pacifism. Lay. 1.05 Lingfield. The race makes up to suggest this one could struggle to run to it's best, therefore with several live dangers and an open looking race, the 7/2 as I type looks very short and opposable.

S3.45 Erics Charm 0.5pt E/W I'm probably taking a risk here by going against the excellent Valuescope but when I looked at the form last night, I actually picked out Principe Azzurro (and Limited Edition) as place lays !! Erics Charm has some excellent form at this level and loves the course. Also likes a battle and has good form carrying big weights in softish ground.

1440 Sandown Breedsbreeze 1pt win nicholls/walsh are seemingly on fire recently, the horse hasn't experienced a non-placed finish and performs well on the softer ground. with some light racing, it looks like team behind the horse are picking its races carfeully.

8.20 Radiator Rooney e/w This one could run a big race tonight now tried in visor and 6 furlongs will suit. Staying on last time over 5 at wolverhampton. Has a nice draw in 12 and Richard Hughes is an interesting jockey booking for this one tonight. Could well go well at a price.

| Astarador 3.10 Sandown (EW) I was at Wetherby when this made its hurdles debut on soft and it won very convincingly by 27 lengths and was a class above the field. It beat Osako D'Airy that day and that has won a few races since. It won another novice hurdle on soft, that time by 28 lengths. It then ran here on heavy ground in the Tolworth hurdle and was 3rd to Silverburn (beaten 11 lengths) and was then 2nd to Amaretto Rose again on heavy ground but lost by 18 lengths in a Grade 2 race. Decent ew bet at around 10-1 with most bookies and up against an unknown horse in Tino Tino that could be anything but doesn't have the form in the book like this one does. May do better over jumps but still respected as a hurdler and must have a chance today in a class 2 handicap.

8.20 KEMPTON-RADIATOR ROONEY 0.5 E/W I agree with Woodie that this Irish trained horse has good e/w chance. His only win was over 5f but seemed to need a bit longer when running on lto and the booking of Richard Hughes looks significant while the 10/1 on offer looks good value.
