Balmont - 3.45 York
3rd in last years July Cup after 9 months off and was lame in the morning, disappointed after but over longer trips. Ran on well to finish very close third in Temple Stakes last month over 5f. Todays trip more in favour, has won over Course & Distance before, big chance.

always seems to have a chance without actually winning Joe, should be a great race though. i favour the Hills horse Etlaala which was dropped from 1m to 5f LTO in the same temple stakes & ran creditably from a poor draw. over 6f today on a wider track will show its speed. Plenty of horses have down this down the years by going back in distance to sprints & i think Hills has had his mind on this race for a while.
