Best Bet of the Day
Another profitable day in this thread, 13 selections being made. The main bets coming in the King George with TheRat, WoodyTHFC, Woodie and Bowles all having the 4/6 winner Kauto Star. Elsewhere at Kempton, Mileni4uk had a 5/4 winner in Song of Songs, and RussP with EW landed in Rio De Janeiro, 3rd at 8/1 having being backed in heavily from 14's. At the other meetings, a nice winner for birthday boy BillyHills with Russian Trigger obliging at 6/4, a super 9/4 winner in Taravada for PeteG and a lay laid for JackG. So overall, 9 from 13.

Remember, the profits are at SP and many of these were available at better early prices.

Kempton (10/19)
By far the busiest of the Boxing Day threads and a decent day with returns on 10 of the 19 bets. In the King George, Carl has the forecast with Kauto Star-Our Vic 1-2 at 10pts on the CSF. Others to have the winner at 4/6 were WoodyTHFC (EP 5/6), Bugsbunney, Woodie, Bowles10 and TheRat. Cavelloman was in excellent form, a lovely winner in Straw Bear advised at 6.8/1 EP (9/2 SP). Bugsbunney (2/3) and TheRat (2/2) both had a double up with Boomshakalaka coming in at 7/4, whilst RussP finished with a EP 14/1 3rd in Rio De Janeiro in the last (8/1 SP).

4 EW bets advised in this thread, 2 coming in finishing 2nd and 3rd at odds of 9/2 and 5/1, for WoodyTHFC. The horses in question, Barton Legend and Thievery.

A tip from Bowles10 today in The Ethiopian but this was no skinny price, landing EW money finishing 3rd at 6/1.

I'd just like to comment how smart, organised and effective the forum is looking at the moment, this weekly review section really useful as well. Poor day today in all honesty. Only 3 managing to get a return from 11 picks, so a disappointing 27% strike rate. However, well done to the 3 successful punters, JackG with a successful lay, Mileni4uk with yet another winner in Mr Strachan at 11/10 and Mowgli tipping up an odds on winner in Ike Quebec at 4/6.

Chepstow (5/29)
Many horses tipped up in the Welsh National, and many of those tipped up more than once which contributed to the poor strike rate in this thread. However, 4 winners were found, with RussP finding the National winner Miko De Beauchene at a cracking 13/2 with his only bet at Chepstow, Bowles on impressive winner Franchoek at 2/1, Secretmachines finding both What A Friend at Evs and Kingston Lane at 6/4 (2 from 7), and WoodyTHFC also finding Kingston Lane (1 from 5).

A loss in this thread although we have returns from 4 of the picks. Tedthewolf was 1 from 1 with 9/2 winner Yardbird, whilst Woodie was 1 from 13 with short priced winner Voy Por Ustedes at 2/5. Cavelloman had returns from both his picks, a 2/1 impressive winner in Mahogany Blaze and a 5/1 2nd landing the EW in Hoo La Baloo.

Another disappointing day for many today with just the 3 returns from 12 selections. Woodie saves the day somewhat with a nice 5/2 winner in the last race of the day with Pop Music, Mowgli has the Lexus winner Denman at 4/9, and JackG with a 2nd place, advised EW but at odds of 3/1.

Just the one out of the money in this thread with an unlucky 4th (EW) meaning no full house. However Mowgli (1/1) and WoodyTHFC (2/2) had the short priced winner, Cedrus Libani at 4/11, whilst WoodyTHFC also had L'Oiseau De Feu 3rd @ 15/2, advised EW. A profit in this thread.

Nothing in this thread today, although Carl had a 13/2 4th, which would have paid out. However, the bet was not advised EW although I'm sure some would have gone EW at the price.

Just a head prevented a full house in here with The Listener being edged out of the places. However, 3 people on 4/9f Denman in the Lexus, those being Mowgli, WoodyTHFC and Sir Fernando. 2 from 11 in here today, so still not quite the standard we have come to expect. However, there were a couple of near misses that would have taken this thread well into profit. As it stands, the 2 winners were TheRat with Turpin Green winning at Evs, and a superbly priced 7/1 winner for Tedthewolf in Huka Lodge, which I believe was available at 16's earlier in the day.

A much better day in this thread, with a profit secured. A nice way to end the year with 3 returns from 8 bets. Tedthewolf led the way with a superb 14/1 winner in Pitful Tercah (advised EW), RussP following that with a 9/1 2nd Opera Writer (again advised EW). Both those horses available at 16/1+ earlier in the day. BillyHills also finished well with a successful lay in Magot De Grugy. A few near misses also when different staking could have secured even more profit.
