Tiebreaks - out of a total of 60 KO phase games in the 4 competitions, 8 have been decided by tie breaks (13.3%). EWC III holds the record for most tiebreaks within a specific competition - which was 3. No one individual person has ever been involved in more than 1 tiebreak.

Comebacks

The biggest ever comebacks to win outright on aggregate were done by Mcfly and Evilchris in EWC III. Mcfly trailed Ads25 4-2 and won the 2^nd leg 3-0 to win overall 5-4. Evilchris trailed Heniek 2-4 and hit back to win the 2nd leg 7-1. Sharpshot in EWC V became the 3rd person to achieve this (2-4 down against Btugero and won the 2nd leg 4-1 to win overall 6-5)

Twice before, people have come back from a 2 goal deficit to draw, and then eventually prevailed thanks to a tiebreak.
Those were Jockprop in EWC I (1-3 down after leg 1 against Psilocybin and won the 2^nd leg 2-0) Kevshat in EWC III (0-2 down against Evilchris and won 2^nd leg 7-5)

Fazz once came from 3 goals down against Darren in EWC III. He lost the 1^st leg 1-4, but then won the 2^nd leg 6-3. This made the scoreline 7-7, however Darren won by virtue of tiebreak so all of Fazz’s efforts were in vain.

So nobody has ever managed to come back to win after losing the 1^st leg by a 3 goal margin or more. Clearly the advantage of a 1^st leg lead is absolutely vital.
