Ive been a syndicate member for a few years now and the costs are minimal because we only own 10% of the horses with other individuals/syndicates taking up the remainder.
I think its important to go with a trainer who looks after you with regard to feedback/info and titbits of information about their other horses.
A friend of mine has a syndicate through middleham park racing and says that he gets some excellent info and the occasionnal plot.
I know that most people will say that we should be in it for the enjoyment of racing but trust me it is nice when the trainer tells you that he strongly fancies the horses chances and you look at the sp and its 33/1
Our current trainer who I wont name is very poor with regard to feedback so if you get this off the ground I would be very interested.
