I'm of the opinion that international management is best suited to men in their late 50's and early 60's.
Young managers should relish the day to day cut and thrust of club management and working with players on a daily basis. The older guy can bring more reflection and deeper thought to the international teams.
Managing your country should be the end of your career, after you're finished in club management. It's the place where you bring all the wisdom you've gathered over decades to bear. |
