Once more unto the breach as two outright selections identified.
The first selection is
Harlequins - £31.00 @ 1.54 with BetChronicle -
Harlequins are 2 from 3 this season, winning both their home games but losing away to Newcastle last week. Bristol are 1 from 3, recording their first win last week at home against London Irish. Harlequins have only lost once at home in their last 8 fixtures, whilst Bristol have lost their last 7 aways and have not won on their travels in the Guinness Premiership since Jan 2007. Furthermore, thy have not won at the Quins since Sept 2001.
Sporting Index have the Harlequins supremacy over Bristol pitched at 7-110, whilst the average handicap mark on the Quins is -6.0 points at 1.90.
The second selection is
Dragons - £51.00 @ 1.63 with
Betfair -
This is an uneasy selection / bet for me and in my current fragile state, one I really wish the system hadn't flagged up. However, it did and so I am on! The Dragons are 1 from 3 for the season and are on a run of 3 consecutive home defeats. Ulster are 1 from 2, losing away last week to Edinburgh. The Dragons have lost the last 2 corresponding fixtures and have not beaten Ulster since the 2004/05 season. Based on the ELO ratings, Ulster should win by around 1.5 points.
Sporting Index however, have the Dragon's supremacy over the Scarlets pitched at 4-7, whilst the average handicap mark on them is -6.0 points at 1.90. I don't really know why the Dragons are such short priced favourites here. Gulp!
